Just saw that Southwick is $55 for General Admission all the way to $395 for Super VIP. What are your thoughts?

Pay General Admission, grab a beer, enjoy some moto. Don't stress about the "Super VIP' Stuff.

Cheaper than a lot of concerts I have attended over the last decade, and at least as entertaining as most of them.....

$55 is cheap for general admission. I also get the VIP at some races like Lakewood so I have food and shade.

$55 is a very fair price for the effort that is put in to host one of these races.

I had not been to a National in years and decided I wanted to go to this one alone so I could wander around and do anything I felt like. I Missed many SX races do to Covid so I figured with the $$$ I had not been spending on moto I was gonna treat myself to the VIP tent. Ehhh...not worth it. Guys sitting within 10’ of me paid $55. So for $245 I got a few free drinks, a breakfast burrito, some good chips/salsa, 4 catered street tacos, a program, and some shade if I wanted to head under the tent. The best part was the 2 private porta potties that were somewhat clean and had cold running water n them to wash the dirt off my face once in awhile. In Sept I’m gonna go GA which I feel is a great deal for a full day of entertainment

General admission at DILLA. Last two times the party in the parking ares was so much fun we didn’t end up watching a single lap.

Edit: I'm guessing you mean Southwick where spectating sucks. Might just skip it this yr. I've been there so many times. And I'm going to Red Bud Dilla and Budds Creek anyway

All relative to how much money you got and your motivation.

Go or don't. It's not like it's a life changing decision.

Front row ticket to see your favorite band is gonna cost $600+

$55 to watch your favorite rider seems like a good deal to me.

If it’s just me and my buddies, we go general admission, drag a cooler in, find a decent spot and set up chairs. After that, we roam all over the place, returning occasionally to resupply and sit down for a bit.

I’ve done the vip deal in the past when going with the lady, and in my opinion is worth it because it is more comfortable for her. Like other guys mentioned, there’s shade if it’s really sunny and hot, and/or cover if it’s raining. Halfway decent food, and clean restrooms. That last piece is key for making her experience as pleasant as possible. I can deal with the row of porta-jons baking in the sun all day, but it’s got to be brutal for women. I’ll spare you the happy wife happy life bit, but being around someone in a foul mood really puts a bad vibe on the day for me.

100% it’s a southwick issue. I’ve been watching from what they’re now calling “the island” and charging 150 bucks to get into since I was a kid cause it’s one of like 3 good spots to watch that track from

Just to be clear, the VIP is just about a single billable hour for you, wouldn't it be? Maybe two if you aren't a top notch guy?

GA would be about 10 minutes of your time......

Is that too much to ask for that much entertainment?

what do you get for VIP at a National? I usually do VIP at MotoGP, but that includes a Paddock pass along with an open bar with all you can eat or drink, and a suite with a balcony to watch from.

Thunder Valley in Denver actually accepts limbs as payment if you bring it to the gate already separated.

I don't think so at all, especially with inflation hitting us thanks to our government spending money like it grows on trees.

Some construction material is up as much as 300%

Food is up almost 4%

etc, etc......
