Mine was a 1987 KD80 , my dad got New
I had wanted a Dirt bike since i could remember
But family nor anyone i knew was into dirt bikes
Im not sure where i first saw them or why i was passionate about them
But its never changed.
I would just ride i fields near where lived and make small turn tracks.
Its really Hard to find a place to make Turn tracks here Now.

No pic but mine was a 1979 Kawasaki kd 100 when I was 13. Bike was a little small but I had fun on that thing. I just rode in the fields around where I lived. No one cared back then . I remember the first time I jumped it...landed like a ton of bricks.

1987 CR80... I was way to big for it but had a blast learning to ride on it!

My 2nd was a 1981 kx 80 but I was already a bit big for it when I got it. Then I had no bike for a couple years then in 84 got a new leftover 1982 kx 250 when I was 17.

1984 kd 80 for Christmas of 88. Found one on kijiji 2 weeks ago and have started a resto. I thought it would be it would be cool for my kids to learn to use a clutch on the same bike I did.

My mom bought my brother and I a 1971 jt60 at a dealer bankruptcy auction. It didn’t run and told my dad it would be a good summer project. We had it running the same day. That was the start of my addiction. My mom blames herself every time I get hurt. I still own it , check out my sweet gear.

1972 Honda SL70. Tried racing that against XR75s and didn't do too well. One day I see a 1976 Y80C on dad's trailer coming home. That bike changed it from 4 strokes being the fastest to 2 strokes being the fastest in that class.

He also bought my mom a SL100 and him a SL350 we used to ride around FT.Hood on those on the tank trails. Good times.

In 73 dad bought a 72 TS 185 Suzuki that a guy had stripped all the street stuff off and put a hooker pipe and Preston fenders on.

I was ten and standing on the pegs was same as sitting on the seat. I stopped at rocks or a bank of stump .

The next year dad. bought a 73 Yamaha mx 360 that I still have and we went racing.

The first few dad would hold the rear fender.on the line and I'd take off when the tire tool was pulled and the band snapped ..

Old barrel chested bastards complained and I had to stand beside it ,band snap, stomp it in gear and jump on. I rollerballed quiet a few starts, made me not mind getting under a pile of bikes after a while.

My grandfather won the door prize at a Suzuki dealer meeting. My dad sold it in 1982 and I found it and did a work swap for it in 2005.

Mine was a 1974 Yamaha DT100 Enduro. I got it when I was 9 in 1977. Rode it on our 88 acre farm, and my neighbors 100 acre farm, and my other neighbors 100 acre farm with my two friends.
