What tracks that that have never hosted a national before that are most deserving of having one? Maybe another question would be which track it should replace?

Mammoth

I really don't have concerns about the logistics...it's just an awesome track at 8,000 ft above sea level. It's been run for OVER FIFTY YEARS...

And it's Honest to God "Motocross".

Dude it’s a pain in the ass just to get in to the track on normal race weekend. That one lane road with a few turnouts and busses wizzing by each other. Imagine that x10.

Logistics aside, I always wanted to see a national at Cahuilla. Fast, flowy, and they have a lot of property to make a sick layout. Its location isn't ideal, but i'd enjoy it.

What about HoneyLake MX, up in Milford, Ca?
Not sure if they are still around.

Hmm I havent raced there since 2005 why is there a 2nd track and did they completely change the layout? That layout is nothing like what I raced on. Id love to see how it is now.

The smaller track at the upper right of the photo (the track that started the facility in 2002) is called Hilltop now. It was reversed and doubled in length a couple years ago and is now a 2 minute lap time for a top NESC A rider. The big track opened a few years after and was mostly wooded before they cut the land and built a 3 minute lap time national style track. That track is called Sawmill as the building in the center of it was an old family Sawmill.

Improvements and layout changes are made each year on both tracks. The facility also features 12+ miles of offroad trail from roads to single track along with a kid's track. I suggest you come take a spin this summer!

This is what the series needs, a legit Euro-style sand track.

I wish more tracks would try to emulate a track like mammoth rather than anaheim 1 outdoors.

For what it is worth, national tracks have gotten away from the 2 minute + laptimes.

Making the tracks flow better, speeding up track work, and improved medical access are the reasons.

From established track like redbud to the most recent new track, iron man, they are all around 2 minutes.

Monster Mountain is a great track, but no way they could handle it logistically. Not near enough room and the roads in would be a nightmare. imo

Wow- looks epic... too bad I’m in Seattle so most likely won’t be near there with my bike in tow anytime soon...

Plenty of parking outside the actual track/pit area. PLENTY of shuttle buses. Plenty of Lodging. Plenty of services. Shuttle them in.

Besides, like I said...I don't care about the logistics. It's all about the track. And there's very few places like it.

This place would be a great place to hold a national. Best track in Texas w/o a doubt.
