I've got a pretty good stack of magazines going back about ten years. I don't want just toss them and I was wondering what other people have done with them.

When I had magazine subscriptions, I would take the old ones and donate them to this middle school teacher I knew. Hey I'm in the 909.

They make a great weight training program when it's time to move.

Or take them to your local dr or dentists office, because their magazine choices suck in the waiting room!

If you are not to attached to them you could do what I am currently working on which is a bar top with a nice collague of random MX pics, Ads etc... Makes a great conversation piece and for some good bench racing while throwing back a few with your buddies. All I did was make the shape of the bartop I wanted out of plywood, installed a nice 3/4 trim around the shape and lid down the pictures etc and covered with a clear lacquer.... Looks pretty good and is a great Moto piece for the house.

At one point I had every Cycle News magazine from the 2005 supercross/motocross season. No idea what happened to them.

I took about 4 million moto mags to Half Price Books and they gave me $7 for all of them.

Now I just recycle them once they stack up taller than my head on the back of the toilet .

I have some all the way back to popular cycling and when Cycle magazine covered moto.

I cut up a few back in the mid 70s to decorate my room and then realized that I should save them instead.

Strategically place them all over the house so when one of your kids gets out of line you'll always have something handy to whack the shit out of them.....or donate them. Whatever toots your flute.

Still looking for a March 1978 Modern Cycle if anyone wants to sell theirs or I'd buy scanned copies of the '77 Trans-AMA series in that issue.

PM or post if interested. I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

I thought I read about shipping old moto mags to soldiers overseas once. That's the type of thing I was hoping to do with them but I wasn't sure. I know the race results would be out of date but the stories are mostly still relevant and the rider profile stuff is fun to compare then to now. I went through the stack and they only date back to 2005 so the youngsters won't be asking why the bikes have those big fat head pipes.
