Paddle tires were ruled illegal after The Jammer won a sandy Supercross race using one. Oakland in 1979.

Don’t piss off the old people - the older they get the less “life in prison” is a deterrent for them!

Tomac for one was NOT running a paddle tire. They clearly showed it on the starting line of the main from just 3 feet away and commented on how clean it was and how muddy bogle's was who was right next to him.

Paddle Tire ( Continuous Radial Rib ) is the law - The loophole is they make Knobs to act like a paddle but they not a continuous rib.

I think pretty much everyone on the inner half of the gate was using knobs, not the paddle style in the rear.

Why would someone run a MX33 vs a MX12?

Because of more traction on slick spots and starts. And better straight line stability.

Not just benefits with a "paddle tire".
