I admire his willingness to go race but you are s former champ and badass and this all seems beneath you. If you won’t get hired for factory ride then might be time to hang it up. He should know you can’t compete without top equipment and a team behind you. It’s almost impossible at this level.

All that being said I know he hasn’t had much time on the bike and he has nothing more to prove and I hope he proves me wrong because I’ll be rooting for him. Just hate he doesn’t have a ride.

He’s gonna stick it out for the year hoping Dungey comes outta retirement so he can try to roadblock him while getting lapped a couple more times.

You do realize he’s doing it for the love of the sport and to be out there racing the best right? It’s what he loves to do. He’s not chasing a championship. I’d say he looks at it like if he does win, cool, if not, that’s cool too

I don’t think he did too much worse than anyone else would have if they had been sitting on the couch the last 3 months... just saying. But I’m a Reed fan so you can take that with a grain of salt.

Don’t remember what year it was but JS7 was still on a Kawi & he got hurt mid season and couldn’t train. Just showed up on the weekends and raced. And he couldn’t hold a candle to the top three guys back then. Which I think were Reed, Carmichael & Kdub...

All to say... remember the Dude hasn’t been training at all for this. With that in mind, I was actually impressed with what he did. I expected him to have to pull off after a few laps.

He's trying to race himself into shape .He says he wants to be the oldest guy to win a SX. Improbable yes, impossible ?like you said almost but no.P.S. anyone on here would consider 15th at A1 to be a pretty badass ride.

maybe you should tell him this ... perhaps he is clueless and still thinks he can have fun and still possibly make fans happy and maybe after healing up more and getting the bike dialed in ? .. he could put some decent results in. He came off an ankle surgery 2 weeks early with basically no off season preperation. Give him a break. Nothing wrong with him

grow up man, he has just finished a 10 week layoff due to surgery Blink

He is old compared to the field at least, he has had all the factory rides he desired and now there are new kids that deserve them more - of course he won't get a badass ride anymore, that train sailed last year and he was lucky to get those 2 years with factory Yamaha. Him riding his own thing should be commended and NOT SNIFFED AT

Making mains and scoring points straight out of injury, i see him improve over the season. What his potential is at his age now i dunno, i think if everything alligns later on we can see him get top 5 or podium perhaps.
