Maybe he struggled with bike setup and elevation. Perhaps they over tested and couldn’t find a base setting. Maybe he hit some mental blocks. Maybe Yamaha switched their focus to the outdoor bike after the wheels fell off and told him to get through the last few rounds healthy. Gotta be so shitty to be in the top 10 of best supercross riders in the world.
He said and Plessinger as well said they are really struggling with that bike on hardpack tracks.
He had massive issues with making the triple on to the table (cased it bad the lap Tomac passed him), that was probably because they had detuned the bike so much because they couldn't get the bike to work on hardpack.
I really hope Ferrandis gets the KTM ride because i do not trust that Yamaha team. Nothing wrong with the bike but Reed talked about the team in his podcast with Matthes earlier this week, it's a mess.
Bike didnt work on slick tight track. Some what similar to those LCQ Suzukis. Suspension didnt move a bit on slow tracks and bike just went all over on whoops.
Read between lines when Barcia said thanks to all his sponsors in his IG post. Those sponsors didnt include
Factory Yamaha so pretty sure there is no blue bike for him 21. Guy who ride all season in top5 it seems harsh not to have Factory offers on table for next year.
DF14 could go to Yamaha but I dont see that bike working much better on these track conditiones for him. He will make it work on most of tracks but I sure hope he will go any other bike even with less money.
The Shop
Eli hurt him. Butthurt him.
(cross thread points)
Bummed for him.... he had flashes of brilliance this year. I hope he's still around next year...he makes racing interesting.

Pit Row
Not looking good for him next year. Lots of young talent moving up.
