'76 Puch MC250. Twin carb, made of unobtainium. Trickest, most exotic thing on earth.

Back in '79, a local NorCal pro named John Roeder successfully claimed Marty TrIpes factory Honda at the Oakland supercross. He showed up with the bike at a race at Watsonville a few weeks later. We all frowned on this at the time, was a dirty way to get the bike IMO. But damn, I wonder what it was like to ride that thing.

The one bike I wanted, I had to have it. A Chad Reed 2004 YZ250 replica. Even though I did not like Chad Reed in his prime, watching him ride this YZ was a thing of beauty. So when I saw someone was selling their replica, I headed on over and picked it up. Not fully exact replica, but close enough for me!

Great looking bike for sure!

2001 CR250R

Couldn’t afford one in high school, after college I went 4 stroke. Don’t need one but I sure looked up to the neighbor that had one back in the day.

I still wanna build a new model YZ250, with the 09+ rear end, 06+ forks, 04 frame and 93 graphics. Such a good look!
I've thought about doing the same think. White plastic and the 93 graphics and purple seat are timeless! BIke still looks insanely amazing till this day.

82’ RM125Z Mowed yards all summer to get it. Such a killer bike ! Just picked up an all original 1 owner 10 hour bike. Getting dialed in for AHRMA and TVRC. 43mm DLS front end, Race Tech Emulators and Gold Valves ,Dubya wheel set, mild porting . Should be ready in a few weeks . 88’ YZ 250 and just picked up a 89’ RMX 250 for $700 , should be a fun project.

The YZ 250 in my profile pic was the number one bike I always wanted. I was in the process of doing a Hannah replica ...until thieves stole it. There's a nice Reward if recovered.

In terms of stock bikes, I always wanted a 2005 KTM 125 Rattray replica. Never heard a stock bike sound so crisp.

As for lusting after factory bikes, it would be TP199's 2001 rm125 and JS259's 2003 kx125.

That and the 79 250 are some extremely good looking bikes. The 78 models as well. Very much a works bike in appearance for the era. If I was "independently wealthy", they would be in my collection of all things moto.

Along with the oh so slender 1976 YZ100C, YZ125C, YZ125X and YZ175

My brother raced the YZ175 for a few years, was one of the top in Florida in 200 Class

One main rival was Rick Crum, who now works for Kawasaki

A nice perfect example of a 1975 RM125 would be hard for me to pass up. What word would describe it? Hmmmm....

slim
/slim/

adjective
1.(of a person or their build) gracefully thin; slenderly built (used approvingly). "her slim figure"

Similar:slender lean willowy sylphlike svelte lissom graceful

Why did early mx bikes have down pipes ? It's in such a bad area for damage. Huskies and Yamahas of that era had up pipes
