of earning the win or at least a podium at Redbud this weekend?
Evans maybe or the Italian dude or maybe the Frenchman.

It sure wasn't any American racer... hehehe.

The rider who lost it for his country was Jett Lawrence.

WHAT?!?!?!

I said what I said. DV was 100% right, you should put your best racer on the 250. Jett was not only Australia's best racer he was the best guy on the track. Cooper was the guy that won the race for the US with his 4th place. If Jett was on a 250 he most likely would have had his way with Cooper and Hunter would have just needed solid 450 rides. If Jett could have managed podium finishes on his 250 the results could have been completely different.

Who here thinks France would have made up 7 points if Vialle would have rode instead of Marv ??

People say Chase is gonna Chase when he has tip overs but I would argue Hunter is just as guilty of doing it. When he crashed again in his last moto there was zero shock from me. You would think he was the younger brother with the amount of mistakes he makes.

Agree.
I don't think it would have been enough to beat the US but probably for second place it would have

I can’t argue with that. But, as they say about hindsight….
And it wasn’t like he was the losing factor, he rode his best and did exactly what he needed to do

I don't think anyone was beating USA today....but for Australia it was Hunter...Mitch had one tipover, Hunter had more mistakes.

That’s why the US won, because they had their best guy on the 250.
Right?
And if Jett goes 3-3 instead of 1-2, Hunter will automatically perform better?
Right?

J Sloan, this is such an unsavoury thread.
Although, I will play your game.

Technically, the answer is they all funked it up for their team, if you didn't go 1/1 you underperformed.

It's just that team USA riders funked it up less.

In the mud and rain no less where mistakes are expected. And people wonder why riders don't want to ride. Win or go on the cross

Did I say Justin Cooper was our best rider?

No, I did not. I did however say he won the MXdN for us. His 4th place was the best MX2 score of any rider. The next best was Hunter with an 8th place finish. Yes, if Hunter was on a 450 he would have a much better chance to get better starts and stay out of the chaos.

Hunter, given he has had far better mxdn performances in the past. Evans getting a 5th in one moto is his job done from my perspective

I really think we made a tactical error with our bike choices. Jett probably kills on a 250 and I think the 450 smooths Hunter out.

Given it’s scored outright now I think on aggregate we might have got a lower score with the brothers swapped.

It is 20/20 but DV was calling for Eli to race the 250 months ago because he is the best racer we have. I just took that logic and applied it to Jett.

Was there a better view of the incident with Coop? I couldn’t really tell who was who.

I think you can only say that if you think Hunter on the 450 would have been 4th or better. At the end of that moto Cooper was coming up on 3rd. That moto was the ride of the day by Cooper. to get 4th in those conditions. That was HUGE!!

I don’t think Hunter is placing top 4. So Jett winning on the 450, let’s say you swap him out, Hunters not winning still, possibly not even in the top five.

I think it was still probably the best decision to have Jett on the 450. You just needed Hunter to have an out of this world ride. He needed that 4th that Cooper was able to get.

Do we have to prod the same person with pitch fork as the mob or can I pick my own person to use the pitch for on?
Can you use said pitch fork on someone holding/using a pitch fork?
Is the preferred pitch fork a 3 or 4 pronged unit?
Does the pick fork have to have a vital sticker on it.
If I use the pitch fork incorrectly will I be banned or get "forked" myself?

Yeah I don’t know. In general I think Hunter suffers from trying far too hard and bad starts. Both of those get remedied by 450 starts in a mixed class and smoothing out. He could definitely run at the front on the big bike and to your point, given where Cooper was I think Jett could have done something truly extraordinary on the 250.

Still equaled our best ever result and between the boys, Evans, Beaton, Webster, Duffy and Minear We better get a few dubs soon!
