1) Your love for 2 stroke?
2) Your hate for James Stewart?
3) Your hate for Chad Reed? Oh, wait a minute, this was 2 years ago …
4) Your love for Chad Reed?
Etc…
I don't post much on here. Heck, wasn't I supposed to quit posting after my first one (c.f. my username)? Being the high achiever that I am (15 posts, and counting!), I definitely surpassed my own expectations. What motivates me to post on this forum is quality, not quantity. My last few posts are proof of that :
1) I only post after a long thoughtful process, so my statement is not open to argument. I was the first (4/22/12 at 2:38 pm) to tell you what was the extent of RV's injury, well before this topic went out of control. http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/RV,1237299 (16th post of the thread, page 1). Next time, stop arguing between all of you, read my post and move on to the next topic.
2) If I am knowledgeable in a particular field, I will give valuable advice (at no charge) to whoever's seeking advice e.g. "how to get rid of arm pumps" http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/arm-pump-nerves-HELP,1236… (30th post of the thread, page 1). Again, my post should have ended this thread but nobody is listening here.
3) If I have a tip that can benefit my fellow vital members, I will for sure help a brother in the need. Like finding a job in the motorcycle industry http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Moto-Related,20/jobs,1236437 (8th post of the thread, page 1).
…
4) But mostly for the fun even though my sense of humor is misunderstood

I get a kick out of the "bench racing" stories that go with them.
Thus, my 2 recent posts - Scarriest Ride and Bike you gelled with. There is some good reading in the stories the Vital members post.
I also piss people off because of my position on 2 strokes! I have nothing against 4 strokes though as some seem to...
The Shop
FixXed
Now, I just come back to relive some past glory.
I can get Press Releases any fucking place
Pit Row
Priceless
I post because I like motocross, and like talking about the reality of what's happening on the track every week.
I think a lot of the current crop of posters post like how they think things should be, or want them to be, but quite a few have are lacking the perception of how things really are.
My dad taught me years ago that it was OK to hate 2-strokes. He was always a critic of the ring-ding sound, like when a friend of his brought one on a dual-sport ride and after several hours it drove my dad over the edge and he ended up strangling the guy to death with his own throttle cable. I still visit him in prison.
As far as other motivators: Sometimes I'm a religious James Stewart Defender, but other times not so much.
