For the era, 98 KX250..

I bought one new and loved it.. So much, I ended up buying six more the last few years.

My 06 KX250 is night and day over the 98 though...

My Favorite bike is one I don't own yet... 2010 Service Kawasaki KX300 AF...That's going to be sweet!!

Old School favorite: '74 Bultaco 125 Pursang. A fragile rocket.

Modern favorite: Honda CR500R. Only minor changes from '89 to '01.

X2....Had my best and last year racing as a pro on the '87 KX. PC motor and some suspension work and it was awesome. Loved that bike.

1993 Suzuki RM125.

That thing grabbed so many holeshots. Even with my fat arse aboard.

I built this bike about 16 years, 300CC and worked great in the tight stuff...it's a mix between a 1986 XR250 and a 1989/92 CR125.. it took almost 3 years of R & D to get it right... besides my 1976 rm250A this was the most enjoyable bike I have ever owned!

Roost you really liked the 93.. I'm not sure why but my 93 rm125 was a toad. It may have been because my 92 was so fast but I just never liked my 93. I always thought maybe I just got the one 93 the Japs fucked up and threw it in a crate anyways. What's funny is I loved my 95 rm125 and it was pretty much the same bike. My favorite RM 125 was the 2000 though. My 99 motor was built by PC and was fast as hell. I was amazed when I got the 2000 RM125. The 2000 RM125 was faster right out of the crate then my 1999 PC motor.

Those things were a blast. The factories could take lessons from this bike on how to cut weight. No need for anything other then a frame, motor,a couple motor mounts, tires, handlebars, and a small cushion for a seat.

Just don't leave out the metal plate that rubs against the rear tire for the brake.

My 84' CR250 was my favorite bike of all time. Not exactly perfect, as they had a problem that year with the exhaust port chamfer (or lack thereof, I should say), and it had a little head-shake issue. Other than that, I loved this bike. It was my first 250 after 8 years of riding 100's and 125's and I kicked myself for waiting so long to move up. Oh, and it was my first Honda.

Old - '79 Husky 390CR
Modern - '07 CR500AF.

The Af is the most competent motocross bike ever available to the public, in my opinion.
