545 because it was/is the last three digits of my AMA number. I like it because it reminds me of when Arby’s would sell their regular roast beef sandwiches $5 for $5.

This is one of my fav moto subjects, I always ask racers where and how they got their number. Its always an interesting story to me

402 is and has always been my number, don't even know how I came about this one but once it stuck it became how everyone knows me. Running this since the early 1980's

Tried running my AMA number 721 for a while, just never felt right. Thought a change of pace would be cool, but no vibe with the 721

25 was my Loretta's number and I used to rock that a lot. But one some other guy I don't like started running it I abandoned that one

544 saw it on a Yamaha over a decade ago at my dealer. Loved the way the numbers looked if that makes sense. Depends on the font tho.

That was my absolute favorite track. Giant sand rollers from hell and only the strong survived!

That Trim gear really looked good back in the day.

724, as it’s my anniversary, but I don’t like being so close to the 722 so I was contemplating moving to 630 for my daughters birthday. In the end, I like the way they look on a bike so I’m torn

I always had 92 since I started riding as a kid because of my birth year. Then when I got on 85’s and moved up from the B class to the A class 92 was already taken so we just flipped the 9 and I’ve had 62 ever since.

Many years ago I was number 782. I think it was Michael Young that ran the number back in the day. I remembered seeing it in a MX Racer article where he rode for team Primal Impulse for a day and I thought it looked cool.

My dad actually just sent me a picture of somebody else running my number and he said the guy used to race in my class on minis and copied it off me because he liked the way it looked.
I remember that M Young running 782, great looking #. I ran 53 in 7th grade. Tallest player on the team sometimes had a choice of 51,52 or 53. I can,t find 5 or 6th grade pics, great shiny yellow uniform tho.

724, July 24th Bday. Had this since I was a kid, changed to 122 for a few years when I got back into riding, then back to 724 again.

My old number 122 - 1 wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs.

#392. When I moved over to MX from woods, I bought a old KX 250 with the number #92 on it. My buddy said I wasn't fast enough to have a two digit. He had a set of black 3's, and viola. Had the number for 24 years now.

When I was a kid my amatuer boxing record at the time was 6-2, so I went with 62. About 30 years later I added a 7 to that making 762 because I thought it looked better on the number plates.

#59

Have been since I was in my 20's. I decided that at age 59, I would decide if I was too old to be racing motorcycles. At 48 now, the 59 isn't looking so far off!

I started late in the dirt bikes. I left my job to move back to NY to take care of my parents. Long story short, they both pasted away 1 year later. Had to get the house and everything sold. My sister and I inherited what was left.
Dad was born in 30 and mom in 35 total 65

804 - change my number for the '02 season after getting married Aug 4, 2001. Figured she was willing to change her last name, I could change my number! Plus it helps me to remember the date.

I really liked my 2002 520SX, I even did a quick refresh of my 450 with 02 like graphics.

My 1st number was 110. My 83 RM60 was a hand me down from my oldest brother. His birthday April 10, so he ran 410. I just changed the 4 out for a 1.

After that a couple district required changes moved me to 109, then 105 which I ran thru 2001.

That was a damn good day. At least my friends told me it was. Turned 21 that very day.

761 - My dad was born in July of 1961, so kind of an ode to him and helps me never forget (I’m horrible with birthdays). He passed away 5 years ago.

In 1995 I moved to El Paso TX. I had a new '95 CR125 and I decided to change #'s and switch it up. After running through all the scenarios (birthdays, favorite 3 digit riders etc) I was still undecided. I got my first cell phone and El Paso's area code was 915. I thought, shit, that's a cool looking number. I've run it ever since. The N-style numbers were so awesome back then. Haha

My first "race" bike was a 1987 CR 80, Eric was a badass, so I run the 33.

Like others on here, I'm using my last 3 on my AMA #.

I've been 126 for a long time now and like the way it looks.

82
Was out all summer with broken tib/fib
Got talked into going to a two day meeting to spanner for a mate he has just got a crf250 04 we all know how they went or didn’t , he had his faithful 125 in van , I ended up racing it as someone dropped out borrowed everything of friends and new ones to race ,number I had to race was 82
Ended up 3rd overall , kept the number ever since
Then my best bud used it when I had my first kid and hung up my boots for a while.
he won with it to ,
gutted to say he passed away
On a practice day we was at a few years later.
Fast forward 12 years a my boy did his first race and
His number is 82
