I know we seen a thread like this a while back and I found it to be pretty entertaining. So I figured why not make another? What is the best and worst bike you've had and why?

For me, my best bike was a 2013 YZ 250F bone stock. Handled like a dream and was so fun to ride, it did lack on power a little bit. However, I never had a bike that inspired as much confidence as that bike. It's so fun that I still have it after owning two more bikes.

My worst bike was an 09 CRF 250R. Not because it lacked anything or handled awkward, it was just so unreliable and the notorious valve issues got the better of me.

Worst was 05 KXF250

Best by feeling is my new 18 crf250r but time will tell as far as reliability goes.

Best 2015 Yamaha yz125
Worst 2002 Honda crf450r

In 47 years of moto there have been some real piles of junk and some really good bikes, these are just the most recent

My 09 CRF450 qualifies for them both. If that makes any sense... Huh

Have owned Blue, Red, Yellow & Green.

Best - 03 CR250r it's been the best handling chassis, engine & suspension combo so far.

Worst - 97 & 01 CR250r's rigid chassis that I never came to grips with.

Owned 09 &10 models. Makes sense if you mean from the showroom floor oem specs to mods.. Agree they are exceptional mx bikes after mods..

My best bike was actually my worst bike too.
I had 86 cr500 engine in an 04 crf250 frame, when it ran it was a dream, trying to start it after it had been sitting a week or so was a nightmare.

Everyone is going to bash the 97 CR250. I loved mine. It was a rocket, it's looks were ahead of its time and it was my first new bike. I did not realize all the vibration was not normal. LOL

Best : 1997 YZ125. Just a confidence inspiring ride , good power for a 125.
Worst : 2003 KTM 250 SX. Vibrated like hell , nervous at speed , unforgiving ride. Felt like a vintage bike. Fast as hell though.

Worst-2000 RM 250. Had to put more money in that POS in less than a year than any other bike l've ever owned.

Best-Loved my 06 CRF450 and l mean LOVED!!! The only four stroke l've ever owned but that thing was just the best. I am also currently loving my 06 YZ 250. So much damn fun to ride.

Best: Toss up between 2001 RM125 and my current 2016 YZ250X (set up and tuned for moto now). Both amazing for different reasons. Had the RM when I was young and faster and it just felt perfect in every way. Suspension was absolutely amazing to me at the time. The YZ took a bit, but as I've gotten back in shape and slightly faster after being on the couch for 6 years not riding... It's become such a fun bike to ride. Everyone knows how YZs are, they're just solid machines and you can't beat the KYB SSS components.

Worst: 2003 RM250. Hated the forks and couldn't afford to have them fixed at the time. No feel, rough in chop, unpredictable. Never felt right on that bike and I blamed it all on the front end.

Worst - 1978 Husqvarna 250CR

Best - Bikes change. What was amazing in one era, gets replaced by even more amazing in another. My favorites, as opposed to a single best: 1974 Bultaco Pursang 250, 1992 Honda CR250, 2004 KTM 200 EXC, BMW R1200GS.

Loving this beast right now. The Psf-1 kit forks and 2 piece shock work really good. Kinda just makes you want to ride ride ride.
Not sure if it's my favorite ever but right now it is.
My least favorite was my 06 kx250 smoker, great engine but horrid turning. I spent more time picking that bike up off the ground than riding it.

BEST: 1992 Honda CR250 (had that suspension dialed in so right, absolutely loved racing it anywhere/everywhere)
WORST: 1976 RM250 (had a real "stink bug" setup that tried to kill me. Often.)

One I have now. Forks are solid rebar, handling is sketchy and it’s old and fat.

But it is set up for me, Scott’s Damper saved the day, and it’s pro’s far outway it’s cons.

Payments are 0 dollars for 0 years.(it has a damn plate!). 06 525 EXC

Worst- 97 CR250. It was a holeshot machine but that’s the only good thing I can say about it.

Best- 2002 YZ250f. Just because I’ve never felt more comfortable on a bike. We were one.

I’ve had many bikes since then but always seem to be chasing the comfort and confidence I had on the yz250f.
