I'm continually incensed how shitty the majority of our pros are treated and paid by our sports promoters. I would suggest a large privateer "walk-out" at the last national of the year. Just don't show up and let's see how well the show comes off.
PS. Factory riders are welcome to take the day off as well.

The Shop
Racing a motorcycle of any kind has never, from day 1, been a viable career path for all but the .01%
In motocross I do.
Guess which one I race?
Pit Row
No privateer is making money outdoors.
I'd care about 13-20th if only 20 guys lined up. Oh wait, they already do that in Supercross and the top 20 make a decent wage. If you can score points for 29 weeks (barring injury) then yes, you deserve a livable wage.
You don't have to tangibly take part in something to determine whether or not a person who will never achieve their sporting goals isgoing to make money at it. The writing is literally all over the place telling you "STOP. THIS ISN'T GOING TO WORK THE WAY YOU WANT. QUITE MAKING IT WORSE AND PROLONGING THE INEVITABLE."
Dont think so huh? Just look at AX. It wasn't going away, then when it did something else better would rise from the fire.
Well? What happened? Nothing. No AX. Bye bye.
Same thing will happen with the outdoor series.
I wish all the fake hype would go away with the sport. But maybe that is keeping it somewhat viable.
For now.
There is no money for anyone in the sport. The purse is a joke. 2 first place motos nets you l$3050 ($1525 per moto)for the day I believe . Half the privateers families parents net that every week at a real job. And their parents aren't even the best in the world at what they do.
Think about that.
I dont have the answers. Nor do I really care anymore. But if outdoor MX goes, so too will MX.
