If they are gone, what are the options for a privateer?

Pit out of their own van, and twist that thing on the right side of the bars further than everyone else.

Just like Kyle Regal did.

Scott probably can't afford to lose any more money, He made it a lot longer then I thought he would , He spent an unbelievable amount of his own money.

Plus he is engaged and just had a new born boy recently. I think it was just too much at this point in his life. He had a good run and did a lot more for the privateers than anyone has ever done X10.

Yep.
It was amazing to have been as large and long-lasting effort as it was.

Oh, the memories....

Hmmm, then that probably means that he is done unless he gets some backing/help. I suppose that its a secret while they are in talks?

Warthog Racing will never die. It is the eternal phlegm of Supercross/Motocross. We were down but not out.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays Warthog Racing and the privateers from the swift competition of their appointed rounds -- 17 Supercross rounds and 12 rounds of outdoor motocross racing, to be exact.

What started out as a small experiment of mine (and I quickly dragged in Mr. Bauer) in blending Supercross/Motocross, benevolence, and audaciousness, has been one of the highlights of my life.

So many volunteers, sponsors, contributors, fans, and racers have been involved over the years, all totaled, they number in the thousands. Literally.

It has been most enlightening, fulfilling, and, alas at times disappointing too, having encountered a handful of vermin-like creatures posing as human beings (and that is really an unfair comparison for the vermin) along the way. You know who you are, and by all means, enjoy your Instant Karma – living your wretched life as you. Our program, which belongs the sport, IMHO, has given oodles and oodles of kids with talent a chance to live their dreams as professional racers.

It is one of the few things I would like to be remembered for when I'm gone, for we all have created a better tomorrow for many great kids and their families, and, based on what I define as our collective success to date, the show must go on.

It is true that I was close to calling it a good run and letting it slip away from me but I couldn't watch all positive done over the years go down the sewer, just because of a handful of life-sapping, soul-depleting, ego-maniacal, parasitic pieces of “caca doo-dle-doo” (rooster dung if you're playing at home). So I reached as deep as I could, called upon the best people I have ever met, and come A1, pigs will fly, once again.

Warthog Racing is Dead; Long Live “The MotoConcepts Privateer Racing League” and the “Warthog Head” – “Changing the sport forever, for the better, and for everyone in it™” . . .

Big, wet hogs and kisses to Mike Genova, MotoConcepts, Chris Parsons aka "YamSquatch" -- 2010 AMA Transport Driver of the Year, Bryan McDonald, Ted Parks, Gus Decker, Dave Prater, Mike Koger, Smooth Industries, The Law Offices of Donald F. Conviser, Pete Nauditt, ImageTech, Stu Bailey, Hyper-X, Ron Joynt, DeCal Works, Rob Roon, MotocrossGiant.com, Jake Beckett, Chronic Cellars, Jeff Popp, Universal Imaging LLC, Jay Clark, Vertex Pistons, Hotcams, PivotWorks, Max Steffens, Fly Racing, and anyone else who has ever had a positive thought towards and lifted a finger for the betterment of our most badass of sports . . .

Warthog Racing will be at Anaheim 1, with 12 riders under our tent , living the dream that Scott Kandel and I envisioned eight years ago when we walked through the pits at Anaheim, commenting on the disparity between the pro pits and those of the privateers. We had this crazy notion that we could do something to make things better for the have-nots who were putting it all on the line each week, and with the help of an army of volunteers, our wonderfully loyal, tolerant and generous sponsors, and a dozen or so individuals who went far beyond the call of duty helping us out over the years, I think we were able to do some great things while helping hundreds of riders in their quest for glory.

We've had some highs and we've had some lows...mistakes were made, as were corrections, and we're still out there trying to make a difference. A lot has happened over the past eight years and sacrifices were made to keep the Warthog Nation alive, but no one has risked as much as Scott Kandel has. Scott has given so much, not only financially, but of himself, to help others and asked nothing in return. The man is such a credit to humanity, not just our sport, and I'm proud to have him as a friend and partner.

He wanted me to pass this little gem on to everyone in here, and if you know Scott, you'll know it came from him, "The Warthog is like that phlegm you just can't get rid of...we'll always be there".

Come by our pits and say hello, we'll be under the huge Warthog canopy, right next to the MotoConcepts rig. Support your local privateer!

Good to hear! Just goes to show you can't believe everything you hear.

Any news on who the riders will be at A1?

Thanks Scott and Steve for your contributions past, present and the future to racing.

Helping many a rider, also the mechanics you give opps to hone their talents for their future prospects.

Best of wishes to the WW effort this coming season and future ones to come. Rock on.
