The Shop
I think we should all just quit it now...just like Eli would.
Who wants to ride SX with a bike in that kinda shape?
Unfortunately, ET3 didn't have any choice but to call it a night.
See Roczen for example of what happens under WOT.
And don't forget what happens if you fail to successfully clear the jumps. See Bogle and Canard for what happens there.
I raced a Kenda West HS last year in Washington... Started off well but after a lap or two of hated ever moment. Crashed a few times, derailed my chain which I spent nearly 10min trying to get back on (helmet off frustration), etc. Eventually got going and just rode around. Not fast, not slow but just not putting much effort in. Heck, I got lapped by Max Gerston which isn't all to common in the upper classes. Unfortunately the guy leading got a flat front, spent some time in the pits where I passed him and eventually he packed it in. I ended up winning the race. When they told me I won I honestly thought the guy as BSing me.
My whole point being quitting is contagious, and every time you quit it becomes easier to quit the next time...
So the same people bitching about him in this thread can shit on him for being a hazard on the track, like they did in Dallas last year when he lost his front brake? The guy is really damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
And I guess he still coulda beaten Roczen, and gotten 2 points. At what risk?
Your ride sounds impressive and your result very lucky. Good for you! You're not racing pro level though. I go back to the size of the jumps in SX. Highly dangerous and ya can't just putts around like a granny. Wasn't it just a few weeks ago everyone wanted Ronnie Ford off the track cuz he was a hazard? Now ya want Eli to replace him.
You're calling him a quitter now. What did you call him last year?
He is the same guy...and he's had some bad luck.
Ad for the grip. When did factory mechanics stop using grip glue and wire tying their grips on? Guess it takes him too long. But I've never heard of a grip coming off in any situation if both of those things are done.
But you're right, I don't ride at that level, or get paid to either...
Pit Row
It's just ridiculous.
I m sure Kawi is very happy to win the great outdoors...
Edit. Don't expect a crash course.
