What happened to Reed?

Reed pulled off. Did he go down, or have a mechanical failure?

So much for the KTM being a advantage. Bet he’s abit bummed, I thought he would do pretty good today.

I don't recall it mentioned but Reed has officially made the night show on all 6 competing brands now, correct?

In what context? THE LEGEND CR22 farthest from a quitter the sport has ever seen

The dude qualified for the main out of the heat. If you want to say he quit, fine, but dang man he's a legend in the sport from a time where everyone else is gone. Maybe he saw how the track was deteriorating and said F this? That chewed up track almost cost Kenny big time. Hope it's a MUCH longer track, somehow, next races.

You know, as I look around the country and see some of the nonsense going on, and then I look at some of the comments in here, I see a similarity.

Basic lack of respect.

Very thoughtful and sensible comparison.

Bummed for him, was hoping he might get top 10 given he had recovered from previous injuries, to me, what brand he was on had nothing to do with the results

That’s a bold statement. He’s literally living a dream even today, and you think he should fold it up and not race. The guy is making more money right now than most people in the US, is riding a motorcycle doing it, has a future career in the wings, but yeah. Why do that.

Finally after 5 years of denial I now concede, it appears his best is long gone along with his bag of good luck.

Yeah when you look at the name of Chad Reed and where he used to be, he is not competitive longer.

And showing up a little chubby att every A1 the last years and trying to ride him self in to shape against younger guys who have raced the nationals all summer just dont cut it.

But on the other side, being close to 40 and being able to be as competetive that he is, with limited preparation in a young mans sport still impresses me.
He goes out and makes it to the mains, that is still pretty good considering his lack of efforts. There are plenty of younger guys that dont make it in to the mains, but i would love to se him give it his all during the summer and show up fit and race ready for once.

I don't agree. As long as Chad is able to make the mains and wants to race he should be out there!

Usually in any pro sport, when you start to fade the industry retires you. (Example) company dose not offer you another contract, or your given no options to continue. This happened to Chad years ago, so the bought his way back in. Started his own company, paid himself, and did what he loves. But then look at JB10 or Mike Laracco, always on a team never on there own.

I hope he has a better showing on Wednesday. It was cool to see him up front in that heat race for a while!
