What happened to Max Markolf?

He was a popular upcoming rider in 2017, and then just fell of the face of the earth. Seen his last instagram post was September 5th, 2017. Did he get hurt or is there more to it than that?

Ive been wondering about that too. Just thought of him like last week and was wondering what happened to him. I remember reading/seeing that he had a 2 year deal with the Rocky Mtn KTM team that Baggetts on. It was 1 year amateur and then 1 year pro. What happened to that?

Just speculation....but the two 250 spots on the team currently have some sort of financial backing behind them, aka the riders bring some sort of money to the table. I wouldn't be surprised if Markolf's situation was similar...

Comma or no comma you know what i meant. Roostermx58 did. No one said he did anything stupid, like i said it would suck IF he did. This is purely speculation, but I've seen a lot of fast up-and-coming kids fade away like this. Perhaps the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC ride fell through, couldn't afford to do it on his own, and is attending college instead of burning away his parents wallet trying to pursue this dream? I don't know Max personally or his family, but there's always a back story that we don't know about. There's so many kids that could have been in the same position as Forkner or Sexton that didn't have the backing from their families and/or sponsors.

Hopefully he isn't done, kid has a good personality and talent on two wheels.
