Saw him getting up after a crash, and I think he finished.

Was thinking just the opposite. I'd say he's made of pure grit , end of story!

To me he has the smoothest riding style. I am a fan and wish him the best.

It can't be too smooth considering he's on the ground almost every race. I like the guy and wish him the best too but my expectations of him have dropped greatly over the past 2 years.

Yea it was a late decision I believe to have him race this weekend in NJ. I was surprised to see him out there in practice while I was attending the race. I even stopped over at the JGR rig and saw him sitting there reviewing tape on the camera. He was a bit bummed lol that the camera man for the team only filmed 1 lap of his practice. Overall, he did look pretty fast and was riding well for being banged up. He did have a wreck in the main right in front of where I was sitting. he was coming through the whoops section approaching the 180 turn leading to triple and somehow highsided the berm and both him and the bike went tumbling down the backside of the 180 berm. He was briefly caught under the bike and was free'd up and was able to eventually get rolling.

I don't believe for a second he is a waste of money for any team. He has proven time and time again he has top 3-5 speed even though he is rarely 100% healthy enough to be as fit as he needs to be. Riders with that level speed don't grow on trees.

I've been thinking about him lately, and reached the conclusion that, after seeing him crying because of what happened when his mom took all the money and was gone, I believe Grant is just making money while racing. No aim or motivation to win.

I like him a lot, and I respect him a lot.

But doesnt that make him a waste of money ? If you employ a rider and he is injured for 80% of the season and not racing or turning up and not racing to potential then the team suffers and this is how it is with grant year after year . I think he does his rep more damage turning up unhealthy and getting a poor finish than he would if he just sat out and got himself right. Also is he really top 3 - 5 thats saying he is as fast as or faster than villo, js7, roczen, reed, dungey, barcia, tomac, canard, short, brayton im not sure maybe with a depleted field but not if all them guys are healthy.

Grant looks as fit as RV2 before he started to work with Aldon. Pros have 5 year gap to make it happen.. why not work for it like Millsaps did before season 2013?

Half the guys on your list are hurt and have missed probably half of the past two SX seasons. Getting hurt is a garauntee unfortunately. Being fast isn't though. Grant is an elite racer and deserves all the support he gets. My opinion.
