Never heard anything after that. Anybody know some scoop? Did he recover from that OK? Still racing?

Kyle Engle stepped up to the A class this year and admits shooting for our new movie EPIC, Engle wadded his day up. If you haven't seen it check it out here and you'll know what we're talking about. Pretty intense, right? Good news, Kyle is okay and only suffered a broken collar bone. He's been on the mend and missed World Mini, and for that reason he qualified for this week's Missing In Action.

That was from 09 though.

...he was in the shop the other day picking up a head gasket for his bike, he sat here and watched the first 450 moto on the internet with us. i can only assume if he is buying parts he is getting back on the bike...he was talking about his shoulder hurting too, so hopefully he is back up to speed soon. good kid, lots of potential...

at san diego i believe it was... he slid off the lip of the finish when it began raining and cased the landing. His neck hit the bars and cut hit throat open from the inside and he was rushed to the hospital... couldnt breath and they had to stick a tube in his throat because of the blood... very serious injury

I saw him at Anaheim 3, for how fast he is outdoors i was surprised to see him barely making the simplest of jumps.

Kyle recently raced minimoto and got two fourths in the Pro classes.
He raced 3 or 4 west sx's and got hurt at A3 actually.
His bikes are far from good (practices and races on it) and partly why he struggled.
Working this summer for cash and taking a little time off.
Give him a few months, he'll be back.

So did he lose all his support from Honda and Red Bull?

The Red Bull Jams program is amateur only, they offer no support to pros since Red Bull sponsors them directly. Honda who knows, wouldn't be the first kid Honda brought up then dropped when they saw he wasn't as fast as hoped. Same old story a vast majority of fast amateurs on the verge end up having.

Kyles a great kid. Hope he does race again. Yes he got support but not alot. At the winter ams 2 years ago bike blew up.. Honda sent him parts and was up all night BY HIMSELF putting the engine together..was so impressed with that kid.. ..sometimes things dont go the way we plan. Good luck to him

What did he hurt at A3? I was watching him and he never crashed, he randomly just pulled off in the first practice and didn't come back out.

He cased the triple on the third base side and slammed the bars into his throat. (I was sitting with his mother.) He spent the next three or four days in the hospital heavily sedated with a ventilator down his throat.

Stop talking shit Ddavis. That track was hard. He would smoke you any day of the week.
