Then point your toes in and do the same thing. You should notice that as you squat your knees automatically pinch the pillow with little to no effort. Now try it next time you go riding.
Also a good set of knee protection can help make the bike feel less skinny, or at least it did for me.
I wish I could have figured this one thing out after a couple years of riding instead of a couple decades.
1- Physical fitness- all throughout my MX racing days I worked out. I thought I was fit. Now I realise I wasn’t as fit as I thought I was. I’m fitter now than I was thirteen years ago.
2- Realise there is more to life than Moto- as much as I loved it and I wouldn’t have stopped earlier, I wish I’d taken more time to explore other sports. As mentioned above, it would’ve all been conducive to being fitter and a better MX rider anyway.
You're either on the gas or on the brakes, no "coasting" ever
Learn to find and use braking points, especially during gran prix's at the end of fast pavement sections
If you're not good at corners, learn how to spend as little time as possible in them !
