I'm sure you're all familiar with our Pit Bits and Race Coverage.

What would you guys like to see in there? Anything different? More photos in galleries? Less photos?

Now's your chance to voice your wish list. Smile

New bad ass riding videos are always nice, just without the crappy music most of them have.

Jordan, if I wasn't clear, I meant specific to our race coverage during the season. Videos are a seperate deal.

They're not going to reveal that (the training aspect).

Back when custom painted helmets were in existence, I always loved to see close-ups of the helmets.

Bike setup is always interesting. The faster you are, the more odd your setup tends to be (for some).

As far as supercross coverage goes:
(1) Video of practice sessions(seeded, non-seeded) would get guys some more coverage for their sponsors, as well as video fodder for us fans.
(2) Post practice interviews with riders, managers, and dirt wurx (possible track changes from rider input)
(3) Video detail of certain sections of the track, that you think we would like to see. Like RJ's track layout looks awesome, I would like to see a highlight or two of the sections on that baby.

It has been so long since there was any races to cover I forget what the coverage was like. I'll have to look through the archive and refresh my memory of what this racing thing is all about. Lately I have been coming here for the rumors, innuendo and the occasional burning of the newb at the stack. (I hope this helps to clarify the point of the thread.)Wink

Oh, and pick of ladies flashing their boobies. I know it has to be happening at those supercross races. I know you have the pick now share the wealth.

All above and Trick uniqueness and unobtainum. What separates the factory from the showroom floor?

How do they set up the clutch, subframe, are they cut? Special linkage? Do-dads hanging off he header. Whats under that tank? Behind the front plate. Why are there Showa's on Kawasaki bikes? Why are there Ohlins on the Privateers? Carbon Hubs, Whats in the mechanics back pocket?

I'd like to see it from the eyes of a privateer. Follow one each week and see all that goes on with him. Privateer breaks his bike in practice, how does he scramble, and who helps out on getting him parts. Every week there are those stories and all we ever hear about is James, Chad, and the other big name guys. I know thats who people care about, but the people that follow the sport already know how their race weekend went. I want to to know it from the other side.
To be honest, Vital is just like all the other mx related sites. Some pics, brief run down of the top 5, (unless a big name finishes outside of the top 5) and then it's off to next weekend.
I personally don't go to any other mx sites (exept Proride and Planetminis) because they are all pretty much the same. Oh, and if it's that great of news someone picks up somewhere else, it will end up here anyway.
Pics are always great.

Trip's idea is a good one, and I think Vital can incorporate the use of an intern to follow said privateer around for the lovely price of "Free"! All he or she would need is a press pass to follow the privateer around. That's cool, Trip.

Kinda a little different but I would like to be able to zoom a picture in the gallery and scroll through them while zoomed in.

Oh, and if this privateer thing happens, I'll take San Fran.

I was also thinking along the lines of what Trip said. Privateers are always good story.

And maybe some pics and tips from the mechanics would be cool too, factory & pirateer.

Good to hear someone asking for advice about what they would like to see.

I personally am not a fan of clicking through arrows to see photos and read captions. I would rather see the old school longer loading times with picture/text/picture/text all on one page.

We all love the privateers. Something as simple as being sure to mention the top finishing privateer in each main with a photo would be cool. Maybe highlight one each week posting their lap times (compared to the fastest laps) and heat/LCQ/main results.

I love seeing track photos, especially at the end of the night after the jumps are all rutted and berms are all blown out. The "prepped" shots are always good looking, but the after effect shots always show how much more challenging something gets.

Hot locals. X2 on less energy drink ladies.

Video of any sort is good this day and age. Interviews in the pits after the race re-capping the night. Doesn't always have to be riders. Industry folk usually each have a different account on the nights action.

Pirateer ?? Ahh Jim lad shiver me timbers , man the mainsail heave to !!!!!!!!!

Best tip I ever got from a pirateer was to always fire across midships first & ask questions later so's you don't end up in old Davy Jones locker yerself.
