How can you say anyone other than Fox Racing? Fox Racing has the most mainstream brand recognition in the world for Motocross.

Eh.. Fox drives me crazy. I'm no less than 5% body fat sculpted athlete but I'm certainly not fat either, but for the life of me I can't keep Fox stuff from sliding down off my ass on a stock 450 since they have no extra adjustability in the waist. Give me Troy Lee.

Klim...without a doubt. Makes all the other mainstream stuff (Fox, Thor, One, Oneil MSR, etc) look like crap.

Their ventilated gear is awesome! And way durable too.

^^I tend to agree with this because the quality of Klim products is second to none. I kill it with with their snowmobile line, and have been a Klim dealer (the only one in my area for years) for over a decade.

That said, unless I ride hare scrambles and woods riding as a majority, I would never wear it. Stuff is just too boring for my style. To each their own though. Right now, I have to give the nod to Shift and/or Fox for developing some of the best looking, functional stuff on the track. There hasn't been one uni yet on 22 that I haven't liked in 2013.

Chill and Ocelot are up there for sure. If you want to go old school... how about Glover or Yoko?

Would a factory 450 make a difference?

By far the most durable of any gear out there and the best vented
The Traverse gear is awesome for winter riding

TLD and then Fly. Thor blows because its cheap made and it has leather inside knee protection that gets very rough.

Is that your stab at sarcasm?
I was sponsored by Yoko back in the early 1990's and the gear was one of the best I've ever wore. It held up way better than Thor (for the day). Dave Coupe and the gang were a good bunch of guys and would bust their balls for you.

It seams like Fox andTLD are very good quality. I think that Thor will continue to be poor quality like everything Parts Unlimited owns. They buy companies and then have it made as cheap as possible even if the quality suffers.

I have two old MSR Axxis (cheap-er) sets that have lasted forever and show little wear. The Fox stuff is ok, I really like O'Neal. Holds up great.

I'm all about budget shopping, so I've tried:

Fly F-16 - garbage. Even at the price, not worth it. Cooked holes in both knees in less than 5 rides.

One Industries - Great quality, fits good on my 6' 150 lbs frame. But the past couple of years I've been hard pressed to find a pattern I really like for the price I want to pay.

Fly Kinetic - Decided to try Fly again this year, and so far I LOOVE this stuff. Fits perfect, looks great, and is super functional. It's got the leather inside the knees, unlike the F-16 stuff.

As far as gloves go, I've never worn a pair that fit better, held up longer, and was more comfortable than the Deft gloves. I've worn the same pair for two seasons, and they are still going strong. Fox gloves are a close second.

Oh, and I have an Uncle who is a Klim sales rep, so he's always trying to get me into the stuff. I don't doubt the quality of it for a second, but I'm not about to pay $700 for a set of plain black (over the boot style) gear.

.... If I was into the sledding stuff, on the other hand, I might consider it.

Of late I have been a big fan of TLD, you really can't beat the quality. The SE gear is the most comfortable gear I have ever worn.

Troy Lee Designs. Fox has a good range of gear from cheap junk to expensive high quality. In my opinion though Fox still doesn't compare to TLD gear. One Industries would be up there to if the gear wasn't so heavy.

I used to like the simpson stuff but cant seen to find it anymore
roll with tld now
