That we need a chase format. The fans were screaming at the events, people excited, non-stop talk.
Just think if with 5 rounds left we had 5 guys that had a shot at the title. It would be insane.
I'd say a title chase was on it would be hard to go against Marvin. He's on fire right now.
BRING ON THE CHASE!!!!!!!!!!

BRING ON THE CHASE!!!!!!!!!!
The Shop
If it was chase format we'd have three riders at least going for the championship and Marv wouldn't need to back off. Unless KTM starts hiring riders to literally Ricky bobby shake and bake for their star rider, I don't see how they could tell someone to not win their own championship themself.
If not chase, then like I've said before also, i freaking want more points for 1st place, or fastest lap of the main event. The hands down fastest rider should be rewarded the most. I just want to see more incentive to beat everyone or go the absolute fastest you can instead of managing a race and only turning it up when needed. Maybe 3 short main events IS the way to go. I don't care, I just want to see hard racing every weekend
You guys with the chase shit think if you just explain it enough times that we will all see the light.
WE FUCKIN GET IT!!!! A chase makes it more exciting. HERES WHAT YOU DONT GET.... it dilutes the purity of the sport.
Chase formats are the socialism of motorsports. They're a damn disgrace.
Feel free to start another sactioning body though and create your own Supercross series. You could call it the Meaningless Supercross Championship Championship and just hand out participation ribbons to everyone at the start gate. Hell, you vould just end each round right there at the gate. It could be a 22 way tie all the way through a season. That would be the most exciting, right? Plus no one would even get hurt or spend any money to run the bikes. You could fix every issue in pro moto with one move.
It doesn't reward the consistent rider that may not be the fastest, but is the fastest on a regular basis AND on a variety of tracks, both good and bad.
Keep it like it is, where the champion is the one with the most points after all the rounds are done!
It's way up there...going...going...
Gone!
Home Run
What would be the achievement in winning that title? About the same as winning a WWE match...meaningless.
Most exciting season in quite some time and look at the ass hurt about it. They need to change it up to a multi moto format. Like two 20 lap mains for 450's and 2 15 lap mains for 250's. It'll bring a lot more meaningful races and more points up for grabs. If you get one run away you get another shot for a good race the second moto. Do points for each moto like the outdoors. Double the chances to make up points if you have a mechanical or something. Outdoors is a lot more interesting because every gate drop Matters! Although I think the motos are to drawn out to keep things exciting but it's always been a test of fitness as well. They could even cut the tv slot down to two hours and maybe get more prime tv slots only airing the motos themselves and just show qualifying highlights before or something.
From the time the semis start till the 250f main event its just an hour long snooze fest for me. As a long time fan it's just boring as hell to watch semis and last chance qualifiers. To much meaningless racing.
Anyway. Thinking out loud. I love sx and mx. If it stays how it is I will always watch it anyway. Just would like to see more meaningful racing during a 3 hour tv show.
Watch any other sport. Pretty much the whole time during a game every play counts. As long as it's not a blow out you get 2-3 good hours of action. Not in sx. You get some heats which are pretty good cause all the heavy hitters are out there. Then on to the semis and lcq. You might catch a top guy in there. But it's a foregone conclusion if he is going to win it. Good time to go grab a beer and bullshit or go plug the wife
Purity? Everything changes old timer.
Every MAJOR sports franchise does it. Regular season and then playoffs. Want to grow the sport maybe it's time to change.
• No playoffs
• No salary cap
• No draft
• No nothing
And they buy and sell players for cash.
PLUS, they play all the season-ending games at the same time, because they fully expect teams to manipulate the results to the detriment of their hated rivals. They live in the real world.
Pit Row
But what some people are saying is that with Eli going balls out and winning a bunch of races the season would be a runaway again and now that it is interesting the best guy is not going to have anything to show for it. I think people want to see more emphasis put on wins. Like I said I don't necessarily agree with this, but I think it's what some people are saying.
Give it time and it will happen. After Eli clinches in round 12 next season look for it the following year
Thanks
Who gives a fuck what Matthes wants, it's not like his opinion on the matter is any more relevant or useful than anybody elses.
