Ken leaves HRC rides for a privateer Honda team that’s supported by Honda and act as Australian HRC team
Honda isn’t losing anything here as a brand the race team in Honda US loses but… Honda US supports the firepower team something doesn’t seem right about the situation and totally weird….

There's way more to this story than any of know.
Who is Honda going to hire for a SX only fill in ride?
There is literally no reason for any major manufacturer to support a series that is operating in the same markets where they are already getting plenty exposure from the GPs. Unless WSX gets some crazy mainstream TV package there will be little support from the OEMs.
Kenny and his agent chased a big check (which they have full right to do) and it bit him in the ass. He wanted to make half a million in a couple weekends plain and simple. Honda, who has nothing to gain by spending money to go race two races that don't matter, can park the bike for 6 months and save 750k. Both parties are acting in the best interest of their wallets.
here is honda's offical response to Ken claiming he has no ride for 23.
“We genuinely enjoy working with Ken and have loved having him on our team for the past six years. We have a ton of respect for the speed and talent he regularly demonstrates on the track, and even more so for the heart and dedication he has shown in returning from severe setbacks. In light of recent comments, we felt the need to clarify a couple of points. We were looking forward to continuing with Ken in 2023, and we recently made him an offer of a contract extension. That offer has never been rescinded, but it was declined by Ken and his team. It’s true that the offer included a stipulation that Ken not compete in a series that has positioned itself as a direct competitor to our Supercross and motocross racing partners. We feel it’s important to support our racing partners and to treat all of our riders the same. That said, our esteem and appreciation for Ken are as strong as ever, and they won’t be altered by the fact that our priorities don’t happen to align on this issue.”
No factory rider in their right mind would lose a Factory ride to make a couple hundred thousand is some overseas races filled with retired and 2nd string riders.
It's not about just walking away from that honda money. WSX probably had a clause that if he backed out of his commitment he'd have to pay them a pretty penny.
Pit Row
Dunny said Kenny is chasing a big check.
Pretty sure Stephen A Stephen also has larger fish to fry
also, no official press releases have come out saying that the team is getting more help from Honda Australia for the WSX, people are just assuming him and CDR are getting support from there aussie distributors, but i have heard from good sources that they are not,
I can understand if you didn't notice him, no biggie.
