and I think Anstie, were kickin' it today at Competitive Edge. I learned quite a few good lines thanks to those guys because besides them, there weren't a ton of other riders on the track getting in the way. I let Weimer pull me over 2 uphill jumps.(one is a triple) because I'm just not that good anymore at gauging my approach speed.Notice I said "let". I jumped in behind him at the bottom of the hill..........then he was GONE! Those guys were pounding out motos while I'd go 2 laps and pull off and work a few jumps. I really have such an appreciation for those guys and the work they put in,the older I get. And I just LOVE riding the same track and trying new lines, even though my speed is below theirs. It really is amazing how I'd come up on another rider and just blast past him.I'm really moving! Then Tickle on his #43 would pass me on my #43 so fast that I almost put my foot down because I thought I must have stopped.....I hadn't.Laughing Good times!

Yep, if you can hold your line and not be intimidated, it's quite a show.

Broc (Tickle) is supposed to be stopping by soon too, I think I'll stick to riding the Canon 40D that day Smile .

I remember Hangtown one year when Lammy was out there on his 125 smoker. He would go so fast down the downhills that it would scare me just watching him. He'd would pass me like I was riding wide open backwards on the track. Much respect for all those guys out there.

Pala Raceway has a bunch of pro's too on weekdays; mostly Wednesdays and Thursdays. Riders like Brayton, Dietrich, and Wey just to name a few.

Shit Villo used to lap me twice in 8 laps at a local track up here on his 80 when I was a junior. Shit was demoralizing. Lil bastard! lol

End of 2003 there was a press test of Everts factory 450 YZ-F at Asti, a great italian venue. I was riding the factory beast the hardest i could when Everts blew by me on the biggest uphill of the track. Once the test over for me, going back to the stand, i realised he was on a stock 250F. Needless to say i was stunted... I guess he was 2 gears higher than me on this uphill. And i'm not THAT slow compared to a lot of guys on any tracks. Those world class racers are fast, no doubt.
