Why the dumb shits that go to marketing class just skip over this point of not delivering what the Fans / potential customers want is just crazy.

Pretty much sums it up. As well is the bonus money there from manufacturers for a podium for anyone racing? Anyone know that? Always wondered.
Nope, there isn't. Most bonus programs are paid through insurance policies.

Pretty much every AMA Supercross has more spectators in attendance than the Motocross des Nations has. Maybe not more interest, but actually more fans buying tickets.

The des Nations has extremely over inflated attendance numbers, plus they count the same fan twice to inflate that number even higher (Saturday/Sunday).

A motocross crowd is hard to judge based on how the crowd looks, because standing room crowds are imperfect, but you can estimate the crowd size based on spectator areas and average square foot required for each person. When you do realistic calculations based on spectator areas and also vehicle counts, the crowds are between 25,000-30,000 fans for well attended races. They aren't selling 40,000 tickets to the des Nations. And if they are the riders and tracks are getting ripped off, because they aren't seeing that amount of revenue.

The smallest venue on the Supercross season is Vegas with around 39K seats for Supercross set up. The worst attended races over the past couple years had to be San Diego 1 a couple years back and Atlanta 2. They over saturated the market.
