Cooper Webb will sit out the remaining two rounds of the 2019 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. According to his Red Bull KTM Team, Webb suffered a bone contusion in his left knee that will prevent him from competing in this weekend’s national at Budds Creek and the final round at the Ironman National in Indiana. He suffered the injury in the first moto last weekend at the Unadilla National in New York."

This is great news (not that he is out), but that its not a torn ACL or other more serious injury.

Good news no acl... The bad news having a bone bruise to the knee... I've had other bone bruises, but never a knee, that has got to freakn hurt...

I had bone bruise to Femur and Tibia when I broke my Tib/Fib. Dr's thought I tore everything in my knee between the pain and swelling. Once swelling went down and first surgery we were able to get MRI and confirm all good. The crazy part of the xrays is how the bones turn bright white from the bruising. I think they told me it was from the blood in the bone due to the injury.

Now he can kick back and enjoy winning his SX championship for a little while before getting back at it to defend the SX title. Cool With the Nationals starting right after the SX season I bet he didn't really get a chance to let it all sink in.

Not really a Webb fan, but so happy to hear it’s not anywhere near as serious as it sounded like it could have been. These guys work like crazy to compete with each other, and entertain us. Hate hearing about any of them getting injured.

Bummer for Coop. Just wondering, did he actually hit his knee on the bike or is the bone bruise from a foot dab? I do believe he does not use knee braces. If his knee moved enough on a foot dab to bruise the femur or tibia, he's incredibly lucky to have not torn the ACL.

I'm sure Roczen rolled up to Anaheim or one of the earlier SX rounds in past seasons with "Alpha" as a butt patch?

Tried to find a photo but no dice.
