if it is an ACL, he probably will miss the fist couple rounds of deathcross.

Bummer for Coop, hope it's not a surgical situation in any case (ankle, knee).

Ruts are part of mx. And btw. Vital.says sx is more dangerous. Which is it?

They reported knee, headed for MRI... bummer if it is. Ends speculation that he should be on the MXoN team though.

The operative words being “..a part of motocross.” Not half the track, in my opinion. If you like them, or enjoy watching rutted tracks, good for you.

I have no idea which is statistically more dangerous. Per time on track, probably SX, per race, probably close either way.

It wasn't even that rutted today. This was the hardest and driest national I've been to in years

Almost every interview the guys talked about being happy to make it through safe. Those ruts at those speeds are dangerous as hell.

What’s with the rut hate? Ruts are awesome, especially when you know how to ride as good as these guys.

Ruts in corners great. Ruts everywhere else no. That was the worst track prep all year imo. It was slot racing, no room for riders to search

Ruts dont make a moto track, its been a while but back in the day water was used to keep the dust down. I may be wrong but i dont recall saddleback being watered AND ripped.

Doesn’t sound good for coop. This was about to be his first year making it through both series healthy on the 450. Hope it’s not too bad and he can make a full recovery by the start of supercross.

Regardless of the severity, he shouldn’t be stressing too much. He already got the monkey off his back. Won multiple SX races, the SX title and notched his first overall outdoor win.

It may even be a blessing in disguise. The stresses of defending a title must weight a ton. To be able to take his time, come back with no pressure and get back up to speed might be ideal. He knows he’s one of the few guys who can contend for wins and title. What a breakthrough he made this year.

Just my opinion.

With all the success he’s had this year I’m not sure how any injury could be a blessing.

Could be a MCL sprain and could recover quick 🤷🏻‍♂️

If true it is a nice update ! I was afraid it would be a torn ACL or something similar with a 5/6 months recovery needed.

He will probably skip the last races and recover during the off season before the MEC.

Yeah I don’t get it either, I love the ruts. I could watch Kenny ride that track all day, he makes it look easy.
