According to his instagram post Coop will be back for Southwick. Hoping he can get back to 100% and mix it up with the guys up front. How do y'all think he'll do. Could have started a poll with this but I'm kind of tired of them.

Tbh at Southwick anything is possible so I’d say a top 5 is very realistic. More excited to see how jimmy D and the other locals do

He rode very well at Southwick last year with a third-place finish in one of the motos. I'll put him 6-9.

I’ll say he will go 7-8 on the day barring he gets a decent start and no mishaps for 8th overall.

It will be another yawner more than likely for him. I would be shocked if he broke top 10. Top 5 would be a minor miracle.

I agree with this. I bet he plays it safe for the rest of the season so he is fresh for his KTM ride next year.

If you don't think he can beat Cunningham, Merriam, and the like, you're on crack.

I was thinking the same thing lol The 450 class is weak in depth. He can get of the couch and get a top ten.

I think he will be 5-8 depending on fitness etc.

I’m stoked. Hoping he looks racey at least

Barcia
Roczen
Baggett
Peick
Bloss
Hill

5-8 as others have said would be an expected result. Anything better is good and anything less is not that great.

until he does, then I guess so... he has been nothing short of mediocre as of late (last rides)and if you can't see that then you are on Nyquil PM.

Don't go bringing facts into this! I was enjoying the pointless negativity.

I would think his goal is just to finish safely. Did he race Mammoth like he was going to?

I would say he finishes behind the big 5. I'll go with 6-9 scores. Which is a success in my book.

And? Hasn't done jack shit and been off the bike, etc. You guys have some serious women's intuition for this coming round for Webb. Facts from way back are pointless, could bring all sorts of that into a convo with little relevance for a comeback after a long layoff with shit rides prior to a long layoff.

Cunningham and Merriam would kill for the "shit rides" that Webb had prior to his lay off. Its not out of line to expect him to come in straight in front of those guys first ride back. He is expected to be at the very very front when he's fit an healthy, those other guys are more than a lap down every week.

That doesn't even make sense... I would too and his paycheck. What does that have to do with his lacklustre performances and comeback after an extended layoff?

Whatever he does, it’s pretty much moot....
Don’t see him ever winning a 450 title. If I’m wrong down the road, I’ll proudly admit I’m wrong. Just cannot see it there..... Not happening.

Webbs most recent finish was a 5th at Seattle prior to injury. 2 of the guys in front of him at that race aren't even racing this weekend. If that result is lacklustre then i'm not sure where your expectations are for him.

Im not suggesting that he will podium first race back, all i'm saying is that the chances of Cunningham and Merriam for example, magically being on his level are pretty slim. He is a formal national champion and 2 time supercross lites champ, those credentials count for something and he's not going to come back and finish 12th, i'm sure he'd sooner stay home.

ps. I never said anything about his paycheck, but i hope he's taking yamaha for as much as he can.

A bit of pressure on the young man. Unless that deal to KTM is already done.
