Really? Who is voting yes? He didn’t even come close this year, why would he suddenly improve that much?
No way he wins an SX main..

Does one of the triple crown “main”s count as a main? I could see him winning one of those. Everything else..... will be tough if Tomac, marv, roczen, etc are healthy

I just dont see it. I want him to do good but hes simply flopping on the 450. Hopefully aldon can bring out his intensity and fine tune his riding ability with some solid coaching.

It's possible I suppose, but I voted no. He's got a lot of talent. However, this sport demands quite a lot from a top rider and not everybody can just grab a win or overall. So much good competition at this level. A Lot of injuries and missed time. Perhaps Aldon program and training with Marvin will help him find that level we've seen him reach briefly at times. On the 450. I hope so.

Idk it took Marvin years to win an sx race... and he finally did. Anderson was the sx champ, not Eli or Marvin... anything is possible. As far as mx Bogle won last year, its possible. If he clicks on the KTM and it really is a fresh start anything is possible. I can see him becoming a top 3-4 guy with aldon in his corner with a possible win in mx this year and maybe in sx next year. The sky is the limit with this kid and his potential. Will it work out who knows, but he was lightning fast 2 years ago. Not long ago he was the rider with one of the greatest upsides. I feel like he hated the old Yamaha and got off on the wrong foot with the team/early injuries. Who knows what he can do over there, but Im excited to find out. On the 250s he was better than Anderson, Musquin maybe it will finally translate, maybe it wont but the potential is there.

Most overrated rider currently (I’m not a hater, I just don’t see the big deal)

I do not like cooper Webb’s attitude or demeanor. He has always come across like a child to me.

That being said, he had a lot of top 5s last year. I wouldn’t consider that a flop of a 450 career. I wouldn’t be surprised if his results change for the better. I also wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t change at all.

He will be slightly better than last year, just like he would be if stayed with Yamaha.

I see him winning a main in 2020 after the Baker "program" has had more time to take its effect...
I do see a podium at a muddy race however...

Funny someone said he's he most overrated rider, when in reality I think he is the most underrated in terms of potential at the moment. Flash back to two years ago before his 450 debut and 90% of Vital was convinced he was the next McGrath. Two struggling years on a bike that 90% of Vital calls garbage. A full off season on the best team in the sport with the best trainer and you guys think he's going to seriously flounder around in 10th all season.

In regards to what you just said....I look forward to chatting with you at the end of next season!
It's not the team...It's not the bike....It's not the trainer...the problem with Webb is in his head!

A solid program, bike, and trainer can help the mental aspect of his riding.

I'm betting that Roger DeCoster had less to do with Cooper Webb being signed than he did Dungey or even Musquin. Personally, I don't see Cooper's personality complimenting the one the team has been cultivating over the last few seasons, and I sure don't see he and Marvin jelling as teammates like he and Dungey did.

There's no where for me to vote...

There's no "Maybe" or "We'll see".

2 years ago I'd have agreed with you, but not now. He is the secondary guy on a factory team. I certainly think he has more potential than Tickle and no one seemed to be hating on Tickle when he got the KTM ride.

I think KTM will have got Webb at a bargain price and maybe thrown some bigger bonus numbers up there if he actually produces some results.

Roger said that he thought Webb was the next big thing before he moved up to the 450 and supposedly wanted him on the team back then but Yamaha offered Coop more. I'd be willing to bet that Decoster had a lot to say in this deal.

I Definitely think he will Do yall think he forgot how To Ride ? And do you remember his first couple rides on the 450 while he was still in the 250 class, the guy has been riding with injuries or just after injuries the last couple years, Moto people are tough critics, but I dont think a guy that was that dominant and has the heart of a lion, forgot how to win .

I dunno.

There was a pic out there a few months back, of him and about 4 or 5 of his homies, just hanging out.
Borderline gangsta wanna be bunch was my impression.
My first thought, and I could be totally wrong, was, as long as he's living that scene, he will never be a top guy.

He's got all the tools. Talent, size, confidence to the point of arrogance, on a top team with the best management.
If he embraces those things, and gets rid of his "crew", he will win more than one.

Hopefully because we need more guys in the mix. But I'd be lying if I said I expected it to happen.

He doesn't have all the tools, his head is a mess, and that's the most important one...

The only department they will gel together in is cross-jumping! They are both really bad about it - see they have something in common.

I'll call a sx podium and a win outdoors late in the season.
10/2/2018 12:45pm
I think a more interesting question would be - how will Webb feel if Oz and AP get on the podium or win and Webb doesn't? I think that would be really upsetting.
10/2/2018 2:37pm
I mean Aldon brought Osborne up to become a champion so I guess we’ll see what he can do with cooper who’s already been a champion I think we’ll see some really good rides in supercross and motocross but for him to win very unlikely
