They dedicate themselves to putting up advertising fences in a way that hardly show anything to those who go to the track.
To see something, you have to look around avoiding them.
In many places you only see something more of the track if you are elevated and still do not see everything you could see because it is riddled with billboards.
These fences are placed to be shown on television, but Youthstream does not care if it covers the viewer's vision.
Youtstream, or the TV or the public, the two things can not be, if you want the money from the tele ok, but that way you will lose money from the public and people who will stop going to the races.
In the past Red Sand GP in Spain there was already a confrontation with the organization for these fences.
If it is also a flat circuit you still see less. And if you pay for a grandstand, do not think you're going to see everything you could.
It is that they abuse for part of Youthstream.

The Shop
What's the problem?
You don't wanna watch, in my mind the best race coverage, and it's in HD, and that's all without ads.
Or maybe you have better idea how to run world champiochip's without income from the adwertaisers How can't people understand that it's all business. Nor Luongo, or DC don't do it because just for pleasure, and love for MX. Do it better, or dont't whine. It's called business, othewise it will be ungrateful job
Well of course he doesn't.
Though, I bet he still insists on his 'cut' of attendance.
It's the same every bloody where, with any TV / Streaming sports event. That's the Real money maker.
It sucks, but it's how it is, and it won't get any better, sadly.
I was watching Trentino on MXGP-TV over the weekend, and I saw all that signage, and I thought, "Good thing this circuit has elevation changes, because I don't know how they'd be able to see without all those signs."
It must indeed suck at flat circuits. But it's big-time racing, not the local county fair, so this is the way it shall be.
Pit Row
Advertising, system and location is the responsibility of the promoter, not ours. On Thursday when they began to put it, we had several fights with them about it because as you say you covered all the vision of the circuit. They did not pay any attention to us, with the consequent anger on my part and thus transmitted to Luongo. It's a shame, but they only care about TV!
Pics from Latvia, how right is Kongols commenting here
More pics from Latvia.
To me the only solution that occurs to me, is that we send emails to the to the companies that advertise on those fences, maybe send this thread, so that this changes, when they see that they are participants in our disappointment and anger, maybe they think about it and see that it is not a good strategy to have to potential disgruntled customers, since Youtstream and the FIM care about us zero, it's the only thing I see that can have positive effects so that the fans that go to the circuit can see the race and the effort of going to a career worthwhile and do not come back with the feeling, what shit is this.
Make a list. Of all the overzealous, greedy fucks that do it.
Email them, back it up with a letter, telling them that because of their actions, their signs that blocked your view of the racing, you won't be buying their product. And don't.
This is perhaps the only way to get some sense shown. But, with Luongo, it really is almost certain sense would never be shown.
It has pissed me off at GPs / MXDNs I've attended, and pisses me off watching it online. It certainly does not leave me with warm and fuzzy feelings towards the Advertised products, even when I'm fully aware of marketing. Bad marketing / advertising, is not a good thing for advertisers.
Most of the pictures Ruy , Kongols and others have put up, show that substantial amounts could be taken off the top, the bottom or both of many of the signs, whilst still giving the Sponsors good exposure. The signs would still stick out like Dogs Balls, but could leave better viewing for 'at track' spectators.
Though, I have to say, a couple of years ago a Dirty Great big advertising sign (that did not block any spectator 'viewage') at Loket acted much like 'Matthes' Nets' - a rider blew over a berm, and went into the sign. Better that than down the side of the mountain / hill that the corner was on
So standing and watching it in one corner for 30min? No thanks. Think the high fences or advertising around the track is a little problem.
Supercross on the other hand, that is a real uplift in experience being there live.
Or how about an enduro? Can complain about all the trees in the way
