The riders switching teams was intriguing.
Nobody notable was injured.
It should be the most exciting season ever..

But is it?

That race was boring IMO.

Was better than the 250 Yard sale race.

The racing between Anderson and Tomac was bloody awesome at the start and there was good battles in the pack aswell which made it good to watch.

I don’t know what race you were watching but the races were awesome. Battles everywhere, change up in results, track was a roaring lion, weather was perfect.

Super exciting for me. I was on the edge of my seat every time Anderson hit those whoops. Eli put in some hard charges but Jason responded. That to me was very exciting to see.

Reminded me of RV2 and CR22 at the 2012 Dallas Supercross before Reed wrecked.

The whoops could catch anyone out - my boy El Hombre in the lead had me on the edge of my seat every lap he hit them.

Unfortunately they got the better of Hunter!

Its amazing how my opinion would matter being able to watch some of the most talented humans to ever ride a motorcycle that I would think they would really give a shit if I thought that they made me bored watching them while they risked their lives.

I would really need to be a sever narcissistic sociopath to even consider that they would be concerned if I, little ole me, was bored.

Unreal

Anderson’s and Tomac’s styles are great to watch, that alone makes it not boring.

Not every race can/will be a bar banger. Sometimes we get this type and it is still awesome to watch these guys hauling ass for 20 +1!

Racing wasn’t boring, but I will say focusing on Kenny while Eli and Jason were kind of yo-yoing made the broadcast frustrating and a bit boring..

Not a bad race. I thought it was going to be carnage after watching the 250's though

I was in the stadium with the fam, so no, for me it was amazing.

Watching Jason Anderson ride like he did was jaw dropping, it was a special night for him. Unbelievable bike control and speed from the 21.

Marv Musquin was also just flying, he must have found a setting he likes.

Shimoda getting pummeled by his own bike right in front of us made my family gasp and cover their eyes for a sec.
So no, I don't think it was boring.

Nobody is more exciting to watch out front alone than Anderson.

You had a balance of power battle between Anderson and Tomac, flashes of Marv brilliance, the intrigue of what the hell is going on with Roczen, the equally bewildering lack of spark from Webb…..you don’t need bar banging at the front every weekend to keep it interesting.

Even the 250s was looking interesting until Hunter’s demise, and after that there was the irony of Craig and Friese going 1-2.

Bring on the next round, we’re just getting into the guts of the championship.

They weren't going quite that fast.
RV said after the 2012 race that the pace was so fast, that if Reed didn't slow down, he was going to.

If I was bored I’d turn it off. It had a different kind of drama with Ando and Tomac starting 1-2 and trying to find an edge on each other. Both skimming the whoops, making mistakes and managing to recover. Tomac getting beat straight up and owning it. Marv looking like a threat till a lapper crashed him.

Anytime I see a motocross athlete have a peak performance how can it be anything short of spectacular?

Jason and Eli were pushing the envelope of how fast those bikes could go around the track. my eyes would have been glued on them the entire race had I been there in person.

100% spot on. I remember hearing that as well. As far as sending in the whoops I was just hoping neither of them would crash considering how sketchy they both got at times.

I don’t know. I was too busy being force fed a battle for 10th while Eli was .5 seconds behind. Oh sorry. Not allowed to complain in here.

The narrative around a lot of sports recently has been that if there isn't total parity, it's boring. I will say that if one guy/team totally dominates for years and years, sure it might get a little boring race by race. But what happened at A3 was two guys (Anderson and Tomac) figuring out a super gnarly track and performing at a markedly higher level than anyone else on that same night. It was a total masterclass, and at times, the sheer wow factor of that type of dominance is more enjoyable than watching a bunch of guys struggle at the same time and pass each other back and forth after every rhythm lane.

What will it take to have a 3-4 rider battle for 20 minutes with multiple passes??
Close racing and battles are so rare in this sport, at this level it is so spread out at times..
yep, I don’t have the answer. Track simplification maybe but then it becomes start cross. Dunno, but yeah the races were pretty boring bar the first 5 mins of each.
