His first Moto start didn’t help, but he looked eager!

He’s 11 races away from posting Monster hitters on the gram for a living.

0 ready votes. Kind of about sums it up. I’ll admit, the kids got talent, but he ain’t no RC when it comes to the drive department.

Poor guy is riding an 2008 RMZ with kick starter. It is also forced to race outdoors when he wants to be SX only

Is it possible that he is just not that good outdoors or is it a complete lack of fitness and desire?

I bet there would be a line of broke privateers 2 blocks long that would happily take his place on that poor old Suzuki with a kickstarter. Hell, for what they are paying him, my old ass would push the bike around the track if I had to....

According to him:
"I usually have a good indoor season, so it’s not like I don’t care, but the risk/reward situation isn’t usually there for me outdoors. If I have had a good indoor season, then I’ve made bonuses, I’ve had good results, the outdoors is a way for me to keep riding and keep sharp."

Seems like desire to me. When he gets good starts he seems to run the pace. When he doesnt he finishes where he starts

This. He’s just like his brother. They’re both lazy and don’t want to work for it. Not to be a dick but it’s what I believe is the truth

JGR management is the one to blame. They hired the man and paid him a half a million dollars to ride this year. Fire the problem already. Christ jgr is painful to watch implode and its all fixable.

He wasn’t ready for SX... ? I’m really not sure what he’s getting paid for at all. I would rather see someone on that bike that was hungry... he has tons of talent and zero heart.

Josh was winning main events and led the series (over JS7, CR, RV, RD, KDub) for a while the year before his really bad crash. He never recovered after he destroyed his ankle and couldn't even rotate it down far enough to shift. He missed a year and half I think. If he had filmed his surgeries and posted it all on Instagram, you 'd call him a hero for even coming back at all.

You're making a bold assumption there and I think you're wrong.
I'd be shocked if he does the whole series.

Josh was screwing around when he shouldn’t have been. He wasn’t taking his sx career seriously. Larry Brooks warned Josh not to try to backflip.
