This is the newest bike I've ever owned and I'm super excited to take it out. There's no shame in buying used... this bike has 17 hours and I checked it over with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything was correct. Would I have loved a new bike? Sure, but saving $4k plus sales tax makes it easier.

I bought a used CRF 2 years ago. It has been the most reliable piece of machinery I’ve ever owned. It starts every time no matter what. I just hit 90 hours a week ago and you would never know by looking at it.

17 hours is like a new bike? looks Good and No electric start is just one less thing to fail.

I picked up a 17 CRF450 this year as well. Mine has a FMF single, Rekluse, and Race Tech Gold Valves...its near perfect. Everyone that has rode it just loves it. They are great bikes. Mine has 45 hours on it now.

I also bought a used 17 and installed the e-start. Put on the 18 head stays and and feel great on the bike. Congratulations.

The FCP head stays work better than the '18's. I have an '18 and have switched between the stock ones and the FCP's on my bike while at the track.

I had the same thought, so I spoke to my wallet and it said don’t sell your low hour 16 KX450... so instead I bought some cool parts for it and plan to enjoy for at least another year!
