I'm just blown away by the amount of weird, mysterious type stuff that is going on in the 450 class this year? This has got to be the weirdest start of any season that I can remember.

I wouldn't say weird, more exciting that's for sure - and every stadium is packed and i'm glued to the TV more than ever. Last few years with Dungey was pretty damn boring.

It's pretty messed up. I'm usually all amped up after the race but this one has me feeling really shit, even though there was plenty of great racing.

Keep hearing this 'stadium packed' horseshit and the 2 anaheims I went to, looked about 75% capacity, Oakland and SD on TV even worse, lots of empty seats.
I think many are wearing trump glasses (I have the biggest crowds).

It is crazy, but I'm bummed that tonight the series has probably lost Weimer, Bogle, KR, and possibly Dakota Tedder. The best racing is generally when the field is full of the top guys.

Dungey messed them up mentally by not being there. With his consistent riding forced them to be consistent.

Oakland was the most packed I think I've ever seen it, seemed a lot more crowded then last year for sure. Try again dude, this is just the beginning of making moto great again. . .

When it comes to SX Rozcen has brain fart issues. He has not finished every race in one 450 SX season. Roczen and Tomac need MX National contracts only and Malcolm needs a heat race only contract. Lol.

I was at A2 a few years back and there was barely anyone on the upper levels....A2 is usually a hard sell for the socal bros, but they came back again this year.

Reed summed it up well before the season saying none of these current guys have been able to win championships in their first 5 years in 450's like previous champions and the season is showing why already.

It's different when you the likes of Dungey and Vilopoto aren't out there who were consistent riders, history shows this current crop go down at the very least once a year.

WTF is happening is no Ryan Dungey. Possibly if he were here, this season would be a snoozer as he ran away with every race.

Agreed it's been a wild year, the vacuum caused by not having an RV or RD has given everyone a little heavier throttle hand which has been great. Def have to appreciate the racing from front to back. Seems like JA might have picked up some things training with Dungey, but still, we're one Anderson wreck away from pure pandamonium rollin into Vegas.

I don't know, Anderson looks to have it pretty well sorted at the moment.

Even a couple of weeks back when he was going backwards, he done a Dungey, turned his bad night that could have easily been a 8th and clawed back and made his bad night a 4th.

What was wrong with Barcia tonight, was there a bike issue. I thought maybe he was off, after he got passed by Marvin I think it was.

But then someone I was talking to said maybe the contact with Marvin bent a front disc or damaged the front brake in someway, which would make sense on why he fell all the way to 8th.

If that was an 8th with no front brake, that is super impressive.

On a positive note, Marvin's turnaround in the main was very impressive and surprised me. He was getting destroyed in the heat but looked like a different (angry) rider in the main. If he can maintain that for the remaining rounds then, who knows, perhaps he can force a mistake or something... It is new territory for all these guys.

Best wishes to Ken, will miss seeing him out there.

It’s still early and still a lot of moving pieces. I’d say this is a great start to the 450 series. Runaways take the fun away.

Anderson must be upset he is going to luck into a championship with an asterisk like all of Dungeys...(sarc)

Supercross is going to ruin all the riders in this sport and people are gonna stop watching.

Time to get rid of of SX, lengthen the mx series and just do 3 or 4 one off stadiums races.

This is rough. Give it a couple weeks and Barcia/Anderson will make things exciting.

The bottom line is, none of the current riders have ever been able to consistently put it together in supercross on the 450, and none have really been dominant in a long 450 series except Roczen outdoors.

you have to go way, way back to find the premier class without someone like that.

Dungey
Villopoto
Stewart
Reed
Carmichael
McGrath....

SX has had a consistent dominant rider in the field, for a long time.
