Same.
I'm not a fan of either riders but it baffles how people seem to be okay with Peick having a factory ride but not Savatgy.
I'm not trying to stir the pot, I'm genuinely curious.

Peick has podiums indoors and out. He deserves a factory ride. Savatgy isnt proven yet in the 450's. Hes done good in 250s but hasnt set the world on fire by any means. I like Savatgy i think he'll be a good fit at Kawi. But to say he deserves a factory ride as much as Peick is nuts. Peick is the better rider.

Last I checked, Peick had two indoor podiums and that's it. I'm not aware of any podiums outdoors but I may be wrong.
Savatgy has 4 wins and 15 podiums in the 250 class. Maybe I'm 'nuts' but I think that is more deserving of a 450 ride than 2 podiums.
Good for him. He was hurt the entire outdoor series but toughed it out. That has to mean something. I injured my hand back in February and I’m still messed up.

Thats true. I think Savatgy could do real well on the 450. Nuts wasnt the right wording lol. I just think Peick will be the better rider next year. Time will tell though. Im excited for next year it'll be a good one.

The general consensus is that Peick is a rags to riches story of sorts, and earned that factory ride through constantly gritting it out on lesser equipment and earning a reputation for being tough as nails and never giving up, at the same time getting himself head turning finishes.
On the other hand, Savatgy is looked at as the kid who's been on the factory equipment for multiple years but essentially nothing to show for it. He's consistently failed when the pressure is on by throwing away win after win, even a championship, and only having a couple of flashes of brilliance during the outdoors this year. And though I feel there are more deserving people for the #2 spot at Kawi, this isn't a dig at him. He's still a great rider, but this is the way I believe the moto community feel about the situation.
IMO Weston is likable. Talked with him at Redbud last year, seemed like a normal dude and not awkward.
