Traded a guy my TAC SFF forks for a set of 11 KX450F KYB AOSS. I’m picking them up from my suspension guy next week. He serviced them and the shock as well as revalve and sprung for my weight.

Is this a kit you can buy? I’m wanting to change the forks on my 2016 KTM 150. May go cone valves but I’d like to weigh all my options.

I had a 2015 or 16 set of 4CS leaning against the wall - Enzo and $1500.00 plus shipping later here they areWoohoo

I'm off to Fernely Nevada for the Old Timer event this weekend. I'm a 60 Master and looking forward to checking these out. To make it even better I'm stopping by Slipdog's place to pickup the stock FE AER forks and shocks. Slip worked his magic on them, so I'll change forks a few times this weekend.

Suspension is everything!!!

Did you check if you can put KYB sss internals in Showa TAC forks first?
Is this conversion can work?

Those lugs sure are purdy!

I did a 4cs to kyb swap somewhat recently, but went another route. I owned a 2014 Husky CR125 (pre KTM model) that came with KYB forks w/ Brembo hangers, so I took the whole front end (forks, wheel/hub & axle) and put it on the 300. The top clamps fit perfect, but bottom clamps needed about .1mm shim, which I cut from a soda can. I've put about 70hrs on them this last year and they're great. Best thing I've done to the bike, for sure.

I then had the 4cs outer tubes machined down to fit the husky clamps and sold the Husky w/ the 4cs. I'm kinda bummed because I wanted to keep that bike and convert the 4cs to open chambered and see if I could make them work for trail use, but the wife did not forget my promise to sell a bike when I got the 300, so off they went.

Here's the forks installed on day 1 and after the makeover

What he did is the same as the SSS forks and probably cheaper.

@Tim.......I never saw this thread until now. I know you have a bunch of time on CV/Traxx stuff as well , so how did these forks compare? Or how to they compared to a well setup set of AER's?

@Turbo.....hey bud , I replied to your message , did you get it?

I love not having to spend a penny on the suspension for both my 19 YZ250F and 19 YZ450F. Why not just buy a Yamaha to start with.

I kid I kid

What's the verdict? KYB SSS or reworked AER?

Kyb all day long, if you got the cash for it and don’t like messing with air pressures the sss conversion is amazing on my 17 fc350

Thoughts on the RaceTech spring conversion? Legit? Im in a toss up between that and dropping a few hundred extra on a KYB conversion through ENZO
