...OK, we've seen PLENTY of bikes we lust after. Now, what were the WORST FACTORY bikes ever made?

Not too many riders will trash on their machinery, but which bikes have been trashed the most?

Bob Hannah's trashing of his old Yamaha after he went to Honda is classic...

Not looking for production trash, but factory trash...

We need Rider/Mechanic quotes, not your personal opinions on this one...

Any others besides Bob's rants?

I would have to throw out JS7 2011Factory Yamaha as a good candidate.

Based on what? Rider or mechanic comments? Not your opinion, but theirs to support your position... Also, what basis do you believe that the JS7 2011 bike was a Factory bike?

It wasn't bad, it just didn't fit Stewart's needs, he's said numerous times and the interview with Sergio Avanto that they just couldn''t get the bike to do what they wanted it to do.

Based off the mass amount of teams and riders wanting to get the hell off the Yamaha.

Show me a quote from a rider or mechanic to support your position....^^^

I suspect moves are more financially based since all the current bikes are so close...

That's enough evidence IMO...not to mention he looked horrible on the bike.

What year was it that Suzuki had Barnett complaining about the airbox and fuel tank being swapped? He said that the bike didn't work. Was it the mid 80's?

Does improper set up imply that it is a bike issue? JS7 YZ450?

Where did either say the bike was bad? They said they struggled with set up, but is that the bike or communication between the rider and mechanic?

Setup is part of the bike as much as you dislike that. Ferry hated it as well. If you don't have a good setup the BIKE isn't working so hot.

factory zooks had at one time 2 different factory scooters, one for sx and another for mx. shultz and barnett both said the sx version sucked for what it was intended for if i remember right.

the factory harley and carabela sucked pretty bad for sure.

the stock yamaha was better than most factory bikes in the early eighties i believe so take that for what it's worth

96 timeframe RM bikes appeared to be garbage. I remember hear Mike L saying they were terrible.

actually these bikes discussed here aren't actual "factory" works scooters in the traditional sense.

I'm thinking that back in the day when bikes we changing so quickly, some factories were left way behind. The old YZ's vs the High Tech Hondas were the perfect example. The difference between the bike was heads and shoulders compared to what we see today. I was hoping to hear about the old Suzuki TM's vs the "modern" YZs of the period...
