I Support WORCS. Great events all should do.

If they could lose the AMA it would be even better.

I didn't care for the statement about mice backing out of a sinking ship.

It implies that small rodents aren't very seaworthy varmints and offer

little courage under severe maritime conditions.

WORCS ?

They are just trying to sell/build the series! Makes sense to me.

The squeeky wheel gets the grease!

Yeah, but you don't generally see folks from different series attacking each other.

i think they want people to wake up to the world of offroad racing and
realize it is a good way to go. and it will help young racers train to be
able to run mx nationals.
just what i read in to it.

Ah, you need to read up on your motorcycle history, my Mennonite brother.

In the fall of 1961, a small band of BritishTrials riders methodically

attacked a renegade team of scrambles racers outside a seaside

tea-shop near Swansea. Tables were over turned, crumpets were

crushed and seven people had severely hurt feelings.

It was brutal.

As much as it costs a pro to enter at least $225.00 to do just one WORCS race they have to get in the top ten to maybe even get there money back.

In these economic times one has to be aggressive to see some cash flow. It was a little salesmanish, but hey a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

Seriously? Feld/ClearChannel/SFX/Pace or whatever incarnation is running SX has waged all out war on the AMA Nationals for 20 years.

It's really hard to take a PR like that seriously when it's full of 5th grade grammatical errors. Just saying.

I hope traditionally mx-only people take notice of off road racing, especially as supercross becomes more of an exclusive made for tv series for the best of the best riders. where does that leave everyone else? in the stands spectating?

good for worcs. off road racing is not about sit down trailrides, it is for real

I like the press release. A lot!
It's new and thinking outside of the boxxx.
Unfortunately for them, most 18-20 year olds supercrossers are only thinking about the glamour and girls behind those fences trying to get in.

They just need to fit a 5 mile WORCS race into a covered arena, and FELD is screwed!!

I'm sure if you're one of the pros that they are trying to target with the press release, that it wouldn't be a huge amount of money to them to race. Also that amount includes WORCS pro membership of 100 dollars that you only pay once a year so it's more like $125 per round which isn't too bad considering you're getting 1 hour saturday pro practice and a 2 hour pro-race on sunday, plus WORCS is top notch when it comes to race results and lap time tracking and everything, I believe they are working on live scoring for next year as well.

I love it when people try new things. I love supercross and it has been good to us. We went to a WORCS race this year and thought it was awesome. We will attend more this year. One of our favorite events was the endurocross. All racing is good.

You would if "another series" is making it as difficult as SX is for the privateer to race and make a living at it.....they are just pointing out flaws to the SX elite that can compete w/o financial drawbacks....a lot of MX pro's are going over there of all ages that cannot afford to race full time on the SX/MX circuit.....That's who WORCS are targeting, besides in reality a WORCS race is a 10 mile a lap natural terrain MX race with a few jumps.

You haven't been to a WORCS race have you? WORCS is more what MX was in the 70's than " off road". The reality: 4 to 5 mile courses. WORCS is GP motocross with some extreme sections (that as far as I'm concerned ought to be eliminated) thrown in. It's s a great tandem series to the National's and IMHO should have been smoozing these riders all along.
