My bike calls for br8eg but i dont find them much good. I swaped it out for a NGK IR IFR8H and what a difference it made. Ive always been told that the make of a plug doesnt matter but clearly ive found that untrue.

I usually just pull a plug out of my neighbors Civic when mine goes bad.. I just have to use the air impact to get it in.

I ride a honda so they're the same right?

This has got to be a joke..... a BR8EG is a common 2 stroke 250 plug and an IFR8H11 is a CRF450R Plug. The IFR also is longer which may result in a piston slap if you are running in a 2 smoker. Plus the IFR is over double the price so why????? This has to be like a pre april fools joke....or just a fool

You are COMPLETELY wrong they are both exactly the same legnth. I have pic if u would like to see. And theres nothing anywhere which says you can not use them in 2 stroke lol.

Well, i work in a shop.....i grabbed both to compare earlier. the threads are the same length, however the tip is longer on the IFR plug.....but maybe you like the long tip if you know what im sayin since you prefer to spend $18 on a plug vs. $6. The logic just makes no sense to me...

Why wouldn't you just run the BR8EIX? Cheaper and it's the correct iridium plug...

Well mr maverick lol. If im not mistaken this is a dirtbike forum where people ask lots of different questions. Weather u think the questions or discussions are right or wrong doesnt matter. This forum is for beginners and experts alike. Clearly i can see ur one of these guys whos always right and you know everything and if someone asks a question that u feel is silly wrong or just plain common sense ur all over it. Lmfao. You need to look up the meaning of these forums and what they are really for hahahahaha. And if u take this seriously then u clearly need to but a new sense of humor to go with my rc oil and my plug. Lmfao.

If the bike calls for a BR8EG, you dont need iridium. In fact you could just run a BR8ES. Or a Fine wire BR8EV. Or a BR8EGV fine wire Gold tip.

Rarely does any bike "need" a specialty tip unless you have some weird ignition or combustion issues.

I run the br8es with no issues. And they are easy to find and cheap.

A quick Google search on NGK and it would of given you a list of all the alternative plugs that you can use in your bike.

And since you're saving so much money buying those other plugs, do yourself a favor and use the savings to buy the proper oil.

By your knowledge since the plugs are the same length and there's nothing that says you can't use them in two strokes can I use cooking oil for my transmission and my air filter? I can get it cheaper and it'll save me from buying two different kinds of oils. It's oil so I should be fine, right?
