A ‘chain bake’ is great to do after a few rides although can get a bit messy.
1.) After washing the bike up , I can hit certain areas with it and a soft nylon brush....can remove the stains out of just about anything.
2.) Mist over my raw Scalvini pipe , scrub lightly and wipe off the majority of it......keeps it looking sweet.
3.) real light mist over the entire engine , which helps mud and so forth NOT stick to the motor on the next ride.
4.) Use the big can of wd40 and blast my chain after every wash to help clean it out.
Back on my first point.....with some elbow grease , WD40 can clean up engine case , carbs , porous clamps , brakes and so forth to about brand new. Love this stuff.
I about took out a whole family in the pits the next time I rode it. Haha I was young and first bike. A learning lesson. The guy next to us, sprayed them with brake cleaner and lit them on fire. I raced that night and never changed the brakes after that. But they never worked very well either. Lol
Pit Row
I don't get out very regularly any more, but that's all I've used, like, for decades now.
Maybe with a WD40 pre-spray/pre-clean if it's wet and/or very dirty.
But it does have lots of other uses.
