I am in need of a new ecu for my 2015 crf450. Long story but my stock one is now fried. I have seen a lot of good reviews on the vortex but not much on the GET. Any suggestions? The bike has a stock motor with a yoshimura exhaust and a throttle body mod from injectioneering.

Both great, but i ve used the vortex, no complaints, great mod, better than a full pipe, and with ur yosh, it will rip, user friendly also.

I'm just looking for the ECU. A cam may come sometime down the line but at the moment I have no need for one. Just a ECU that isn't fried.....

I had a vortex on my 2012 KTM from Tokyo Mods and it was pretty cool! Fun to mess around with all the maps and fuel adjustment.

I vote Vortex. I have one on my 13 CRF450. Lot's of adjustability, and able to dial in a bit better than a conventional ecu.

But... $700 for Vortex vs $70 for a remap, which a lot of guy's have good setting's for. So... IDK

Me too, I have the vortex x10 on a '13 CRF. Its mapped to work with the Yoshi pipe and makes a big difference to the engine. Plus its simple, plug it in, switch to the map you want and leave it forever.

Vortex is the way to go. There is more support available in the aftermarket to fine tune the maps.

I have a '16 GET on order - they are on their way to the states from Italy right now. They have several cool features that I an looking forward to playing around with. First they are WiFi equipped, so you can tune your map wirelessly with your smartphone. They also have their own starting system with an LED indicator that mounts on your bars. Thirdly, and what I'm really looking forward to, it the GPA system, which is sorta/kinda like a traction control device. My understanding is that it compares rpms with throttle position to determine if the rear wheel is spinning excessively, then limits output accordingly.

What does injectinoeering do to the throttle body, does it help, and how much was it? Been looking into that lately and haven't found much information.

Geico FCR run Vortex and have been working with those guys for years developing their product and maps. PC use GET and although it may not be relayed, those guys have had numerous electrical issues and DNF's the last few years where FCR hasn't. GET have some pretty cool features but for mine, I'd go with the proven R&D on Honda's, and my perception of greater reliability.

What would the benefits be on a stock 15 kx250f be with a remapped ignition from vortex? Or is stock mapping good already. What do you guys recommend for over the winter break upgrades....remapped ignition or what else. Money is an option as I'm definitely not loaded.

You could always find a local tuner with a dyno and have him run your bike and remap your stock ecm.

Injection Engineering. Just my experience, not others.

It took 6 weeks to get back, and 23 phone calls. I didn't feel any difference on how it ran.

I'm sure others have had better luck. Maybe I just caught him at a bad time, IDK...

I sent them my throttle body in April 13th of this year and didn't receive it back till July 22nd. Promised a 2 week time frame tops. Other people sent them theirs after mine and received them back a couple weeks later. I was told my rmz body took more machining then others...
