Heres a thought that might be worth while.

After reading Racerhead and seeing there are some big names like Taylor Futrell still with out a ride for next year, Maybe we can all stop talking about BobbyM and Alessi and other useless "next year" threads and start a positive one. With the teams going into the shitter, If we all chipped in $10 or some sort of donation, we might be able to raise enough money to send a decent rider who deserves a chance to the nationals (or sx, or both).

To make it even better, We can get a graphics company such as decal works to make custom graphics with every ones name who donated toward the fund worked into the background somehow.. It would be kind of cool.

May be a long shot thought, but if everyone pooled resources together, maybe we can send a Vital "Fantasy' rider to the races, get one more person out there, and have someone to root for, act like a "team manager", and be proud of good cause.

I'd be in for ten bucks, but it is gonna take a lot of people to get enough money to even cover the fuel, but if it helps, we should give it a shot.

This is what www.HelpThePrivateer.com is all about.....making it easy for the guys to receive some financial help.

I spent 4 hours putting the SX/MX riders up only to have all of the info lost when the site signed me out.

I saw that, and its very cool. But I was thinking maybe as a "vital member group" we could sponsor a rider and incorporate everyone that donated into the "sponsorship" some how.

Almost like we were a group team manager so to say.

It would be but a start.

2 bikes for 1 guy, in a box or long bed van.

Maybe someone could donate a bike or 2. Don't need to be new.

A shop or garage as a base to build the motors and maintain the van.

Pay the rider 500 a week to run the outdoorson a 450.

Same with the wrench. He does both bikes and truck.

Both drive and sleep at the track.

With fuel, parts entry fees, insurance's, that 20 grand is already long gone.

But, with a few more sponsors that could kick 5 to 10 a piece, it's giant killin time..........

There is someone in SoCal willing to build engines and donate a shop to work out of. Says he will even make a van and trailer available for all the West Coast Lites SX's....

PM me if this is helpful.

West Coast sx could be very doable, most races are within a reasonable distance from each other, making it slightly easier.

Why the 250's?
Wouldn't the 450 be less upkeep wise?
Wouldn't you want to line up next to a Stewart or Reed every now and then?

I'm in and could get several more for sure to help if he were on a 2 stroke just for he sport of it. I know it would be tough, but you gotta admit, it would be cool.

Brandon Haas is going to ride the SX season with his YZ250 2 stroke. 2 stroke lovers should throw him sumtin.

Probably because the 250's travel half the SX season thus costing less money.......

Im going to wait to see if GuyB is interested in setting up a Team Vital Paypal acct, if hes not up to it, I will. There seems to be some good response to this, and it might/should be fun

Why not have a couple different levels of sponsorship?

Sell the sponsorship spots to Vital members or anyone via PayPal.

Say, $200 gets you 2 shirts, your name on the trailer as a "Major Supporter" and you get to name the team for a weekend. Graphics get printed with your name on the shroud for that round. A1 it could be "Bill Smith Racing" on there and the next round could be "Team 500 Guy" or something.

$100 gets you a shirt and your name on the "Associated Supporters" list on the trailer.

$50 gets you a shirt.

As i said in an earlier post i have someone willing to donate transport, a set up at the races, 2 mechanics, Suspension (from an external vendor), graphics (again through an external vendor) and motor work. I know they are already doing motor work for one of the big teams but he says he can swing it....

I am in and have several others who will support a 2 stroke rider only. Maybe Haas is our man.

Levels are a must. Major supporters always get the most realestate. We would be happy with shirts and names anywhere on a rig or bike.

i dont know if we could financially make a "level' type of sponsorship. IMO this is something we can all do for fun, and make a group effort out of it and maybe get one more racer to the track. we should ALL get our names on shirts, and graphics. But I do think that if someone donates $100 compared to $10, we can do something a little extra. I can make some calls to our gear and part reps and maybe get something to donate in that sense. Our TLD rep John always takes care of us very well in that sense, and I would be happy to send some cool stuff out.

Maybe as an added bonus, we can offer up an extra few hundred bucks or something along those lines to qualify on a 2 banger. Like I said, this should be for fun and support, we all shouldnt break the bank trying to accomplish something that might be out of reach.

Im going to Ohio tomorrow, and when I get back, hopefully some more ideas will have poured in, and maybe GuyB can help out, and we can get it rolling. If not, I'll get the account set up and get started.

Remember guys, this is for fun!

Willard would be a great choice for a rider if he has nothing for next year. I would be all for helping him out with a lot. Look him up.

Thanks for mentioning Weston's name, it is very tough out there we are trying to work out a bike and transportation deal right now but even if that works out. Me and Weston still have to get to the races along with entries and expences it will be very tough, I hoping we still can find of ride. Thanks Louie and Weston Peick .
