Benny,

The fist time I saw you ride was an Oklahoma State Series at Ponca; you showed up on i believe a Suzuki 250f and gave Chase a run for his money...remember you flying through the roller section and remember thinking who is this guy?

As an Oklahoman I have grown up watching Robbie Reynard and have seen RTC develop and grow. What is it about his program that attracts the top riders? Currently he works with you, Colt, Bogle, Chase, Canard, Forkner, Kobusch, Flock, Stilez, etc. From a national standpoint I think RTC is overlooked by the moto media; but Reynard is cranking out some top talent. What do you think separates his program from the other facilities; clearly he is doing something right?

If you race 250SX in '17, does riding on a full-factory bike make you feel like you're on more of an "equal playing field"?

Does having a the full support of a factory backed team allow you to focus differently or "better" on your skill-set?

As my 6 year tries to follow your success from the Missouri State series to a pro career. What advise would you give an up and coming racer and his family.
And would like to think you for giving the series a set of your gear to auction for a scholarship fund. Class act and a great role model for kids. Good luck in 17!

Well I feel that riding the bike I will be on for sure makes it an equal playing field. I feel that I can focus on the main goal much better with the support I now have. Thanks for the question M.

Do you think your ability to post great finishes in 450 Outdoors has taken the pressure off a little.

Do too many guys stay 250 and get buried without trace just because the bike isn't up to it? I look at Weston Peick as an example, 450 privateer and got noticed , and has made it with proper ride , you did the same pretty much.

Was the 250 SX thing a chance to gain experience rather than be full on 450 , or just a way to minimize the races to stay fit for outdoors?

cheers

i would say the main thing is just that he knows his stuff very well. You can trust what he has to say because he has been there and done that, he knows what to do and what not to do. And then it really helps having the other guys to ride with, always pushing each other and making each other better.

The number one advice I have is to have fun with it and believe in yourself. No matter what anyone tells you, if you think you can do it then you can make it happen.

Honestly the pressure is still the same for me. I feel like now since I have had some good finishes, there will be more expectations for me to continue to put up good races.

I think you can look at staying in the 250 two different ways. Some guys just don't like the 450 and can continue to race the 250, and if you are making good money then I think it makes since to stay with what you are doing. Me personally, I would like to get 1 or 2 more solid years in 250 sx and then go up to the 450.

The 250 SX decision was something that the team and I thought would be a good idea. I feel like I can do very well this year and I'll have more time to prepare and focus on the season.

Best of luck to you, Benny!

One bit of advice...stay away from that Engine Ice character...before you know it, he'll have you wearing those silly 'toe shoes'....
