1st time! Leaving SC tomorrow morning. Headed up by myself. Don't know a sole. Racing Friday, Saturday and Sunday on a 1989 KX 250.

Looking to pick up another KX 250 or a mint YZ 100 in between racing.

Cool! You dont need to know anyone. Its all like minded people that you will get along with and have lots to talk about because we all like the same stuff. Youll make plenty of new friends this weekend.

Got a pitbike. Honda 110. I guess it's huge to walk it all....... Crazy.

All signed up. I guess I just print the stuff off and I get in the gate I assume. .......

VMD is like Motorcycle Disneyland !!! My favorite time of the year!

My first motorcycle from back when I was a kid is my VMD pitbike. Few years back, a guy flagged me down while riding it around the swap meet...turned out to be Tommy Croft. Said he's been looking for a clean one...hope he found one Smile

New rules for 2021-- gates for moto and off road guys open at 9am instead of the typical noon . You MUST have the pre-registered QR code to be able to get in at 9, otherwise you may have to wait till 5pm. How well they will adhere to this new guideline remains to be seen, but......

Anyway, since I'm laid up with my torn ACL/MCL I'll be watching this year.(although I think I'm able to do the Holeshot competition on Sat. nite) My daughter is racing 4 classes ( 2 X country and 2 moto classes) and my son in law is as well. We are bringing 14 bikes this year -- 8 racers , 4 pit bikes, 2 to sell . My wife is making the trip with us this year for the first time ,so that should be interesting too,lol

But here's a little advice----
Yes ,definitely bring a pit bike--its a necessity. And keep in mind all vehicles operating after dark need a headlight and tail light. THAT rule they are very adamant on. I've seen guys having to push their pit runners back .

If you are racing on Sunday and would actually want to sleep on Saturday night, try to avoid camping in the "off road" field downhill from the Moto Pits. A BUNCH of craziness goes on there pretty much until daybreak,Laughing

Me and few buddies are heading out in the morning. Racing an IT200 friday, 74 Maico 440 saturday and an 81 Maico 250 sunday. This is my 5th or 6th time going and we always have a great time. My IT200 will be my pit bike with number 151 on it. If you see me cruising around on it be sure to holler.

This place reminds my of the carni atmosphere of Unadilla Trans AM back in 73 or 74.

100,000 people I am told. It's crazy.

Wish I could embed the video of the pit bike races/free for all.......
