You lined up against the guys and beat some of them to make it to the night show. You can check that goal off the list! I certainly hope you're smiling from ear to ear. I am sure there are many in your circle of friends and family that are very proud of you.

Not hating on her but surely her goal isn't to make a night show only because the competition wasn't there. So congrats for sure but hardly achieving her goal IMHO.

I'd say them, her and even a couple of the guys in front of her doing 1:05s probably need to go home and practice some more and then come back.

She was 11 seconds off the leader. With the leaders doing mid to low 50s, that puts her and a few other guys potentially getting lapped in a 6 lap heat race!

I'm sorry, but like Matthes says, his is the F1 of dirt bikes, the racers should reflect that.

She should be treated as a equal. Sad that they make such a issue of her trying to qualify. Give credit to the hard working privateers trying to make a name for their self as well.

The only thing I don't feel is right, is the amount of extra publicity she receives just because she is a girl. Last year they gave her extra track time before the guys and then she gets all of the publicity for being there and rolling around. She deserves it today as she beat enough of the guys to make it.

Congrats to Vicki. Very low bike counts in both classes. With 43 fofiddys entered, only five riders in total will be missing the nite show. I hope this isn't an indication of what we may see for entry numbers when the series gets to NJ and MA.

If she's actually jumping the triples then she does belong out there. You really can't fake it on a supercross track.....if you can do the jumps in traffic then the rest should come to you over time. Just getting out there is a hell of an accomplishment, actually making the night show is something that not many people can say they've done.

There are 450 riders that're 20 seconds off of the lead.
Tonight's whoops have been insane.

She s doing pretty damn well in my eyes.

@aeffterz...I dont think she beat any riders, did she? I thought I heard Holley mention shes making it in due to lack of rider sign ups. Throw Davalos and even some injured riders on there to spin laps and she doesnt make it, I agree with what @wsc96 said and im pretty sure the riders she "beat" were just open spots from no-show spots and Feld wants to fill the gate with as many riders as they can. Could also be riders on the list not in pracrice although they are signed up, had a mechanical failure or hadnt run a hotlap

Its a win-win for Feld today becuase not only is Vicki one more rider they can put on the line getting as close to 40 ridear at the start of the night program..BUT now they (Feld) can leverage the fact that she made it into the night show without any special provisions AND just dominate tonights programming constantly showing her and trying to create a "feel good" story out of it. Of course they will conveniently FAIL over and over to mention that shes in the night show due to attrition and simply showing up & paying the fees to race. Now, I dont mean any disrespect to Vicki, her entourage, and/or her team, and what she attempting and close to accomplishing is nothing short of incredible. It just strikes me as a little outlandish to portray her as a supercross rider, albeit a competitive supercross rider that is showing up and beating the guys in her class and Feld is foaming at the mouth to make this a story any time they can even if a few details or "tweaks" are done to make it happen.

Isn't this scenario nearly identical to what hapened last year when she made the night program for the first time?

IMO, it would probably be a good idea for her to return to AX and focus on improving her speed and confidence in the whoops.

Now before anyone jumps my shit asking me if ive ever race supercross (basically to discredit my post), no I haven't and never held an AMA Pro license either.....so save it. Just my thought on the sport as a fan. I do ride moto and occasionally race so Im nor 100% full of shit here LOL.

At her first time qualifying to night show at Vegas last year she made in 16 seconds behind the lead (35th)and still beating 6 other riders, Now she was 11 seconds behind (37th) and beating 5 riders. She was riding 2 seconds faster that last guy to get in the night show and 14 seconds faster than slowest rider on 250 class.

Of course there is still plenty of room to improve, but definitely she is improving and riding much better now than last year.
