Video of Huffman/Tritler Incident at 1994 Vegas SX Finals?

Hi All,

I am looking for the the rare video footage of Shane Tritler landing on the back of the seat (without bike like riding double!) of Damon Huffman's bike at the Vegas SX Finals in 125 Main.

Damon has never seen it but hears it exists. Mike Kiedrowski says he has seen it . It was not captured by TV crew but a fan.

Does anyone knows where this might be? PM me if you know.

Maybe you can just recreate the event.

Trittler was looking for the video years ago and was willing to pay money.

I've seen that video. Pretty sure I saw it on TV a long time ago on one of those "World's Craziest Crashes" type shows.

It definitely exists. He lands on his seat and goes 20 or so feet like a passenger, then the rider (Huffman as you say) stops and lets him off. Pretty funny.

I was at the race.. I was only like 8 years old. I watched the whole thing though! It was crazy! I remember Suzuki offering a lot of money to anyone with the video but from what I remember, nobody had one. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I have it on video, but its on a tape.. I dont know how to get it on the internet.

Its on that old crash video "MX Wipeout" or something like that.. I might try to find that old tape today and see if it still works.

I too was at that race and as I remember, I think it was Pace at the time, looking high and low for an image or video of the incident. I have never seen a clip and I have been in the industry since it happened. I remember that not being any footage right when it happened. I have never seen it

Huffman was lapping Trittler and they had this strange double off the roof when the track rode onto the roof of of the locker room in Vegas. Trittler cased the jump and he was bucked over the bars and did a full forward flip. At the same time Huffman was also doing the jump but he made it and at the same time Trittler landed smack dab on the back of his bike on the seat. Huffman was freaked out and had to stop and let his friends off the back of his bike.

To this day it was the most crazy thing I have ever seen at a race - better than any Jason Upshaw Superbowl crash. But there were times when riders jumped into the stands at a supercross back in the 70s or early 80s - I saw a photo of it in Go For It Magazine when I was a kid.

I was told there is no video of it, but I'm familiar with the crash.
I hope you get it Todd, that would be a great scene for the show.

There IS a video of it , but for the life of me , I can't remember where i saw it. I think Devin may be onto something though....it very well could have been on that video he spoke of , but I don't ever remember seeing that specific video tape/dvd though.

I remember seeing that crash on that tape, I tried watching it earlier but I havent watched a tape in so long I couldnt get my VCR to work.

I have seen it on some random clip show as well...it is exactly how you described.

It has to be on one of those cheesy '90s crash tapes that would always be advertised on ESPN2. I know I've seen video of this.

I know I've seen it. Almost guaranteed one of those "only on TV" compilations has it.

This guy doesn't want it so he can see it again. People have no idea how painful this kind of research can actually be, or how much it can cost in terms of time and money.

Why doesn't Huffman contact Damon or Shane? I bet Shane could tell you where to find the video. I remember him putting a request in Cycle News or something asking for the video to get a copy for himself. J

Can someone verify which race this actually happened at? Digging through a bunch of old VCR tapes and came across Motoworlds coverage of the 94 Vegas final highlights and that incident wasn't mentioned. I remember it though.

I did find video of 15 year old Kristy Shealy kicking ass against Dee Wood and Stefy Bau on 125 and 250 2 strokes from the 94 Women's International here inTexas. Fast women!

It's called supercross 1994 or something like that. I think. A review of the season. I know I have it on vhs. But I'm not 100 percent sure if that's the one. And I don't have a working vcr.

Yep, I think its on MX Wipeout but my VCR doesnt work either.

Damnit I know its on that tape! There are tons of old crashes that I bet most of you wish you would have seen! That video has the old Jeff Emig crash where he endoes on those big doubles, and I think Henry when he jumps up that hill and his hands come off or something? Its called MX Wipeout (released in 1995)
