Ouch, I bet that Searle wasn't too pumped about that first turn crash. Amazing that nobody hit him when he was down in the mud!

Remember that one like it was yesterday, watching those guys trying to make it up that step up was entertaining to say the least. This and Millville 2006 are probably my favourite mud races.

Racing World Enduro and Spanish Enduro series for Gas Gas.

There's a Lot of former GP riders in World Enduro. Age / or Luongo's dictatorship tends to be a 'feeder' for WEC, and, of course, the US MX and SX series.

I was there. It was bad. The first turn was a foot underwater by the start of the second Moto's. The track was so flooded they canceled 450 moto 2.

Ruined my shoes and spent the next two days in Europe wearing dress shoes. laughing

Maybe the worst SX mud race but that is not even close to the Spain GP.

Riders getting around the track relatively problem free.

How could that be worse than like 90% of the riders getting stuck?

Foxhill 1998 and Faenza 2009 come to mind.

I was at Foxhills for the 98 MXDN, it was utter carnage and like a scene from the battle of the Somme. They red flagged race 2 when John Dowd and a bunch of other riders got stuck on one of the steep hills and they cut it our completely for the last race.

Everts was in class of his own that day.

These days someone would protest that riders were cutting the track. Or riding backwards on it.
