My Loretta Lynn experience didn't go the way I hoped. The track looks super nice and fun, but when you actually ride it, it is tricky and it seemed that I totally forgot how to ride motocross. I was running in top ten after the start in the second 40+ race, but that didn't last even half a lap as I over jumped and crashed super hard in ten commandments. I got wind knocked out of me, but thankfully didn't break anything. When the medical tried to ask if I'm ok, I was just happy that I could move my feet. It is really hard to speak when you cannot breathe, so at some point the medical was sure I didn't even speak English Laughing All in all Loretta's was a great experience and I'm grateful that I was even able to make it there. Thanks ML512, Husqvarna, DC, Jason from Mad Moose media and Mark Guy making it possible.

The Track is so weird it looks so easy and really should be . BUT it is the most difficult track i can think of . I have a heck of a time getting any flow on that track . In 2013 . i was in 2nd passing to take the lead and thats all i can tell you about that . I went down Hard . I got knocked out and to this day i do not remember finishing the moto . I guess i told the medical crew i was good and got up and rode around . the only thing i remember is riding back to the truck and someone saying o thats going to need stitches . That woke me up because i was thinking i still have another moto and do not want stitches . .... I had a Huge hole under my chin . I had them Glue me up . What i did not know was i had fractured my T-10 and 11 . 2 years ago at Mammoth i got collected up in a nasty first turn crash That pretty much ripped my arm out . Now i just race for Fun . Glad you are ok and Glad you made it to LL no one can ever take that away from you .

I actually fold over the bars so much that I almost hit my head to holeshot device while still had my feet on the pegs. When the suspension unloaded it tossed me super high. My neck ja head were hurting pretty good after the crash, but I still raced the last moto on Friday as I might never race the Loretta's again. Because of my DNF in second moto I had to start from outside and finished 19th after bad start. Start is extremely important at Loretta's and getting those dialled in is best thing anyone can do when preparing for that race.

It's gotta be one of those situations where the camera doesn't do the track justice, because I see you going long on two and think you're just going to bounce a bit and lose a couple spots, but then it's like a 600lb gorilla landed on your back from three stories up.

My buddy Myles Scarano #22 on a suzuki raced that class this year, he said the same thing. He also said "Marc, you can make it, but you will have no fun" I laughed and said; "I thought it was suppose to be fun"

Looking back I took the race too seriously. I should have been focusing on just having fun, but I have background as a team manager, so I’m used to do everything 100% and demanded that also from our riders. After the last moto I could finally relax a bit and enjoy the athmophere. If I ever go back it will be all about having fun! Riding photo by Mad Moose media

I think you were standing behind/beside us at the start of the motoplayground sidewinder. I remember hearing a couple guys talking about a wreck and being from Europe.

When the doctor introduced herself and someone said, "he doesn't speak English" I thought to myself, she doesn't either. And I'm from Alabama.

The subtitles at the end said, "you go race" but the track worker said "you gon' (going to) race?"

Haha, a classic. I also love the time Kimi's car "had a shit" in Monaco and instead of heading to the pits, he walks to his yacht, folds his racing suit down, and starts to drink with his friends.

To the OP, nice move in the corner right before the 10 commandments, and glad you weren't hurt worse.

For some reason, the 10 commandments just always seemed to get the best of me. I think I must have crashed in those at least 20 or more times (always on 80's). Loved the rest of the track and would always make up time everywhere else, but by the end of the week, I just rolled them and stayed on 2 wheels.

Yep, it was us. I had my friend to race the sidewinder race, because I didn’t want to risk hurting myself more. Looking back I should have done it, it looked super fun.

I don’t think I’ll ever race the National at The Ranch again, but hopefully some things work out and I will have chance to race there again with more relaxed mentality (no quads) Wink .

Actually the original "Motorsport English" comes from our rally drivers.
